ALBANY, N.Y. — New York Lottery officials say they'll present checks worth more than $170 million to two upstate New York winners of two recent Powerball drawings.
New York Lottery is holding a news conference at a 11 a.m. Friday in downtown Albany to present a $48.8 million check for a winning ticket sold in Wilton, Saratoga County, and a $122 million check for a winning ticket sold in Catskill, Greene County.
Lottery officials say the winners, New York's first in the multi-state lottery, will be introduced at the news conference.
The $48.8 million prize is for a winning ticket sold Christmas Day at a Stewart's Shop in Wilton, while the larger prize is for a ticket sold Jan. 22 at the Clothespin Laudromat in Catskill.
Powerball tickets are sold in 42 states, the U.S. Virgin Islands and Washington, D.C.
Powerball lottery results are published Wednesdays and Saturdays at 11:00 p.m. at USA Mega.
