I think anybody who plays the lottery in Australia has to be registered with the government and they give you a card or something to swipe everytime you play.

Probably rules out a lot of potential problems but I don't like giving the government anymore info about me than absolutely necessary. Especially the government we have now. The less they know about me, the better I like it.

"Especially the government we have now"? Are you saying that you trusted previous governments?

I've never fully trusted any government. Anyone who does is a fool.

But the government we have now is led by a man with a deep seething hatred for everything we stand for and he has surrounded himself with socialists, communists and other America-hating radicals intent on destroying this republic and replacing it with their idea of a utopian socialist gulag with themselves as the privileged ruling class.

So yes, "especially the government we have now".

Strange that you would think that way.  Those of us who would like to see our government adopt policies that would make us more like the so called "Socialist" Northern European countries are not very happy with the way the current administration has cooperated with the corporatists, which actually should make you happy.

Nancy, Nancy, Nancy, I would think an old worn out queen like you would at least have a little more common sense.

All this time you've been waiting for your ship to come in and it's right there in front of you.

              Finland!

Why are you still here, Nancy?

You'll have the perfect nanny state - womb to tomb - everything done for you, everything decided for you, somebody telling you what to do every step of the way!

What could be better than that for a helpless, insecure, frightened individual like you?

Those countries rated highest on the "happy" list because the people are all like you - helpless. They want the government running every aspect of their lives just like you do. And they got just what they wanted, so they're happy.

So my only question for you is this:

              Why are you still here?

Capitalism is about the government pitting corporations into rigorous competition, not giving them handouts when they fail.

Actually the theory of capitalism is based on finding a system that benefits consumers, not businesses.  Corporations are considered people so they can sue and be sued - and we have anti trust laws so that our government can ensure that corporations don't monopolize markets.  Alas - nobody should be happy with this current administration and it's handouts, but here we are.  The markets have become less capitalist - more centrally planned - and have started failing.

But Capitalism will still take the blaim, even though we've been creating a far less capitalist marketplace since the late 1800s.

It's obvious you haven't spent any time in any of these top ten countries on the happiness scale.  If you had, you wouldn't have made such ridiculous and erroneous remarks as those above.  Then again, maybe you would.  If you had at least dropped in for a weekend in one of them you could have asked people your own questions.  Maybe I should be glad you haven't been to them as you are one of those kinds of Americans that give decent ones who travel a bad name.  If one of your probable picks for president like Rick Perry or Sarah Palin were to win, don't worry, my contingency plans are in place!

LOL, Nancy, you're as likely to have been in any of those countries as at the Four Seasons in Jackson Hole as you claimed.

If it weren't for your low-rent trappings precluding you from mingling above your hoi polloi station in life, it would come down to contention between your broke-ass inability and a lib's natural state of being a cheap, miserly tightwad.

But you can always dream, Nancy.

My post made no claims as to my time spent in the countries under discussion.  It was an observation based on your absurd remarks, the Forbes.com article, my personal experiences, as well as the experiences over many years of people I know well.  Your response now is to ignore my statements and try to turn the discussion around to me, which is par for the course for you.  If you think you are going to get me to give up information about my life other than untraceable things for goons like you to read, think again.  Your absurd remarks earlier are what I would like you to address, not who or what I am.

How could you have any idea about what sort of achiever I am, over, under, or otherwise, based on anything I've mentioned here?

"And lie."  Upon what basis could you make this statement?

For your information, I've stayed in the Four Seasons in Jackson Hole, Las Vegas, AND New York City.  You are free to believe me or not.  You have no basis to say I'm lying.  Besides, it's immaterial.  You have made statements about other countries that prompted me to conclude you have no first hand knowledge of them.

Your quoted response above fails to address this conclusion at any level!

Here are your comments that prompted my post.

Let's start over and discuss your experiences that prompted them.

You can either click here or read below...
