Thanks Franky.

I'm feeling a little better about losing my $50 already.

And you're right...who knows, maybe I will win the next 400 million jackpot.

A dollar and a dream right? oops...$2 now LOL

We're soooooooo glad you're feeling better about losing your $50.

And no, no, no, don't bother apologizing for calling so many of us racists.

As long as you feel better we're all happy.

And we all pray that you never again have to suffer the brutal racism of losing the Powerball.

Afterall, you had 25 combinations out of the 175,223,510  combinations that could have won.

There's no way you should have lost with those odds unless racism was involved.

See you at your next tirade!

Shouid it happen to meBanana, i would just have a monthly allowance, like a few of my wealthy successful friends. They have an allowance for everything; entertainment, travel, clothes, phone bill...everything, right down to the detail. I have a friend who is married to a NBA star and she doesn't ask him for money. She goes to the accountant and puts in a request and waits for a reply. It's like what you see on the Suzie Orman show. I've seen first hand how some of the wealthy live. BUT, the very first thing I would do before I get my first check is go to counseling.

           Franky,

Counselling advice is a very good step forward. If what you say is true about your wealthy friends and they are very good aabout money management then, you are in good company. They might engulf you into the prestigious club of wealth management.

            No conspiracy? pfft

The sole winning ticket was won in one of the wealthiest areas of one of

the smallest states in one of the LEAST populous areas (newport)

but which also happens to be one of the wealthiest and WHITEST areas.

The demographics just happens to be almost all white and rich also

You're telling me not to question anything? LOL!

Need I also remind everyone of the recent Putnam Avenue Family Trust

powerball win in Connecticut (White/Wealthy/Hedge fund capital) area.

            WHITE!

Look at all the Lottery shows on TV. Almost ALL WHITE people who win.

And the largest jackpots are almost always Whites.

Not sour grapes. I did play $50 for this jackpot...25 $2 tickets

I needed this win SO BADLY and so did many other poor people.

It would have changed my life for the better and allowed me to help my

            family.

To see another rich, greedy WHITE (probably racist to boot) person win this much money just makes

            me very sick.

Something is just not right about this story...and I know many others

feel something is fishy as well.

            Thumbs Down

To be fair, lots of blacks have won millions, but not the 200+ millions...it is still a conspiracy. They know exactly where the winners will come from. How else would it be fair? Would it not be logical that with all the numbers played, that the largest populated state would dominate?  I am african american and liberal and you speak for me. I just think its unfair at 200 million+, its always, always certain demographics. But, i will take 88 million the jackpot that was won in my hometown.

There has been a 200 million dollar black winner. He won 7 years ago and he is from South Carolina.

                   Franky79,

For the sake of your sanity, maybe it is best not  to dissect that angle. That will bring forth another set of conspiracy theories.

Yes, it's true. The family that I assisted, their children went to school with Speilbergs kids. I remember, the M&T interest checks that would come in and I would deposit it. Then When I had to make a major purchase I always had tp call their financial advisor to see if it was okay. I also balanced there check books. Of course not the checking account with ALL their money, the account with the monthly allowance. And let me tell you, he would go through every purchase from the household line by line. Sometimes her would call his wife up and question some of her purchases. It was intense, but he spent freely as well. He just knew where every penny went.

Glad to be here Dallas! I know, I am sorry for generalizing. However, sometimes it seems like people think they do. And in some ways it's true, but in other ways no so much.

$142 million lump sum. Someone has a stupidly high amount of money. Congrats and enjoy. it went from 250 to 336 in a week right? 86 million jump in a week thats what the no max limit increase does.
