BERLIN, Vt. — The Vermont Lottery announced today that it will launch a new program, Play It Again, in June, as a new way to participate in second chance drawings.
Play It Again will replace the current second chance drawing program, Recycle & Win.
Doing away with the mailing in of non-winning tickets to the Lottery, Play It Again will allow players to simply go to the Vermont Lottery Website (www.vtlottery.com/playitagain) to enter their ticket numbers for quarterly online drawings.
In addition to the quarterly second chance drawings, every specially marked Vermont Lottery instant scratch ticket will now have a second chance to win a top prize for that game after the game ends. Play It Again will be available 24 hours a day, and there is no charge to sign up or participate.
"We're excited about the launch of Play It Again," said Hadley Melendy, Director of Marketing & Sales for the Vermont Lottery. "Players will be able to enter to win more drawings from the comfort and convenience of their own homes without having to worry about paying for postage or envelopes."
Since 2003, the Recycle & Win program has awarded $986,705 in cash and merchandise, and after the last Recycle and Win Drawing on June 13th the total will be over $1 Million.
Good luck to the participants playing this game. I didn't know why this game has 2nd chance drawings.
I hope they don't do like Iowa does with 2nd chance drawings and pay for it by reducing your chances to win the first time around.Iowa has flooded the market with losing tickets and break even tickets.Getting a winning ticket is nearly impossible (unless you are like the Iowa lottery and consider break even tickets as winners).
sounds like fun. too bad all the state lotteries dont make it this easy!
"I didn't know why this game has 2nd chance drawings."
Yeah, there's a story about it right above your post.
I hate when lotteries start awarding "merchandise" instead of money.
What kind of lib BS is that?
I play to win cash, not a dam tote bag.
compromise ridge... compromise... how about a totebag FILLED with money?
lol!
That'll work!
We have the exact same thing down here in Arkansas.
LOL Show Me The Money!!!!
Now that's what i'm talking bout....
You don't have to show a ticket to win the 2nd Chance in TN.
I don't know if I like that set-up too much.
"Where's his winning ticket?"
"He typed in the correct numbers."
Well alrighty then, as long as you say so.
lol - that would stop after the first time that someone from a POOL (**snicker**) - saw that the pool manager (or some other pool member) had won on the 2nd chance option and EVERYONE in the pool had photo copies of the tickets but NOONE had the original (cuz non-winning-ticket-recycler-person shredded them)
I would love to follow that lawsuit as they fought over their "user rights" to the gym bag - lol!
