Texas sucks.  They elected George W. Bush as their governor.   A lying cocaine snorting weasel, who was worshiping goats when 9/11 happened.  They love fracking, oil spills and destroying the environment.  They cant be that smart.

The only thing good in texas is... ________   I dont know.  (you fill in the blank)

They should start a new lobbying group.  Christ for Bingo and Bouncing Balls.

A new industry will start.  Taking illegals from mexico, and instead of transporting dope, they will transport PB and MM tickets from surrounding states.Rant

It will be very lucrative.

George W might even start a businees.

Never mind I heard all his businesses fail.

Wow, someone cut off LottoBoner's kool-aid. Holy cow I haven't heard such load of BS in years.  I thought the kooks were over GW.   No No

I had heard the anti-lottery folks would make a big push against the lottery during sunset review. I can't believe they actually voted it out, and then voted it back in. Well, on second thought, maybe I can. When you have a parttime legislature that meets only every other year, crazy stuff happens. It's always entertaining to say the least.

We've got lottery here until 2025. That was close!Thud

You remind of some of the Democrats I know who are smoking glue. I didn't know you were a squeaky clean and were better than anyone else by your comments Boner. Are you sure of your accusations, or are you just lip syncing the Demos?

What you need to do is clean up your own backyard, before trying to tell everyone else what anyone else did by your assumptions. Your post isn't even remotely funny.

I'm glad the politicians of Texas finally came to their senses. I was beginning to think they were from the same state of mind that Boner is.

    You think Lottery is evil?

Maybe, we need somebody new to run the challenge?

I dont believe in party politics, or the military industrial complex, or religious fervor.

Besides I dont smoke glue, I prefer whippets.

I can be as sure of my accusations as you can be, without actually busting out my magnum P.I. flower shirt.

You think the politicians of texas came to their senses?  Is that what you think of the trans texas corridor?

I will be over GWB when we can bring dead people back to life.

I am not sure about this vote though.

Does it mean that A+ users now will have to move to more liberal states?

So, you admit you are a kook. Good. Glad to know that.

Are you as concerned about the dead people during Obama's administration?

And what business is it of yours what Texas does or doesn't do? You think you know things, but you have no clue. All your lies come right out of the liberal playbook. You can keep your big-brother nanny-state bloated overpaid over regulating government up there in NYC. We do just fine down here without all that BS.

At least we don't have politicians telling people they can't drink too much soda.

I wonder if they will eventually go as far as South Carolina did before it had a lottery.  For a while they were stopping anyone returning from a neighboring state and arresting them if they found any lottery tickets in their vehicles.

Not that some parts of the south don't have a long history of violating people's constitutional rights, but that sounds like an urban legend. Do you have a cite for real info?

I remembered reading about that incident here at LP but couldn't find it when I did a search.  Apparently a local sheriff got carried away and interpreted the law in his own way.

It doesn't matters now that Texas has changed its decision to do away with that potential money maker.

Tennessee had a similar situation, albeit not regarding lottery but cigarettes.

When Tennessee had a governor from the party on the Left, he had Tennessee State Troopers assigned to parking lots in neighboring states' cigarette outlets to count how many cartons of cigarettes people with Tennessee tags were coming out with.

If they had more than two cartons, the Trooper would radio ahead and the vehicle would be stopped and searched and the driver ticketed for having more than 2 cartons and the extra cartons would be confiscated.

We don't have a governor from that party any longer (thank God).
