The NJ Governor said no anonymity and Krispy Kremes.

Sure?...but if your name is Mario Scarnici, and you have enough money to buy him a truckload of "Krispy Kremes", somehow you manage to stay anonymous.Wink

It may be south Brunswick, but it's still up north, where most winners are sold !

The state tax in NJ be higher I think 11 something %. But 25% fed sounds about right. There is no way it is 43 or lower. Lower then 62 but not that low.

The lottery tax rate in Jersey is 10.8 % the highest in the country.

This state just can't bleed people dry enough !

If my info has to be made public as policy of the lottery,  I would wait a few months so that I am long forgetten and then come forth to claim my money.

              Just speculating here,

the winner of the MM from may 31st claimed their prize recently

and their name and town where published,

but no picture, apparently you can refuse the photos.

That's exactly what I'm going to do, most people don't know my real 1st name since I go by a nickname,

and my last name, well there's several families around here that have same,

and they are lifetime/multi generation residents while I am a relative newcomer.

Winners in NJ must pay 25% fed tax and 3% state taxes withholding immediately.

But the actual fed tax is almost 40%. The actual state taxes, as you said, is 11%. You pay the difference between actual and withholding taxes by April 15th next year.

Congratulations to the winner! I guess it's good not to disclose any details further, it will give him more space and privacy. I wonder when will I win the jackpot prize. I think I will do the same if I will win the jackpot prize, I will not disclose a lot of details too, it will definitely be hard to have some privacy once you hit the jackpot prize, there will be a lot of life changing events.
