I don't know why but this story reeks of desperation on the source's part. No offense to them but if I wanted advice from a lottery winner for the current MM jackpot I'd be looking to past winners who won similar prizes or at least part of actual JPs and not the second tier prize winning group that after taxes and splitting it nine ways makes their win look like loose change found under a couch cushion.

When's the next tea party?

I don't know what they're so excited about. If I'd been playing for fifteen years and sixty and some change was all I had to show for it, I'd be ticked.  A couple of million might change your life. Sixty grand won't.

60 grand isnt small, I understand that if you're playing the big game the goal is to win the jackpot but a second tier prize and split 9 ways isn't bad at all.  Not many people can say they've split a million dollar prize.  congrats to them.

Well they said fabulous nine but i only see eight in the picture all looking cute. But the first lady in that pic is extremly hot so this is my offer for her am going to win the next $400,000,000 and am going to offer her half of it $200,000,000 for a 30yr marriage prenup with no divorce option and she has to quit her job because i need a full undivided attention and if she is still married well we will pay her husband $1million dollars to sign all divorce papers within 7days. And with her nursing experience it means am always going to be in good hands 24/7 ye i think it's a good deal for both of us even if she is a gold digger its ok am digging for treasures too but maybe not exactly gold but better .lolHippy

Congrats on their win but a million dollars split 9 ways after taxes is what $40,000?  Don't quit your day job!

I will agree to congrats to them. I will not be one to split such though since uncle sam gets a hefty sum prior. besides over time they each invested close to 10k to get rewarded for 40k..after 20 years? Seriously that is one time where I'd say investing the ten k would have been wiser....

If $40,000 will change your life then that tells me all i need to know about your saving habits.  Or was it the divorce settlement?  Anyhow, you must be one of those 90%+ people that couldn't get $10,000 out of a bank account tomorrow morning if your life depended on it!  Cut up your credit cards and quit making the Starbucks shareholders richer every morning.

As for "Cactus Jerky" you get enough of that brown nosing ridge boy all the time don't you?

$40,000 could easily change someone's life it has nothing to do with spending habits though if they're debt free then even better. You wouldn't have to take out any college loans for one or at least you'd lessen them significantly depending on what direction you're going with higher education.

                        You can't predict random.
