      Someday you guys will learn.

Another jackpot to Cali/NY.  It's funny how lottery officials don't even try to hide that it's rigged anymore ---- they just rotate between Cali and NY.

Stop wasting your time and money, people.   Stick to state games.

      I Agree!

That's not an option in Oklahoma we don't have a State lotto jackpot game Bang Head only Multi-State Lotto games.

That sucks.  That money you spend on the multi state lotto games,    why not  save that money in a credit union savings account, that way you don't have to really part with that money.

Anytime there is a winner in new York state is always rich areas, or suburbs.

LasFriday the first white ball  was 11 and this week was 9 the rigging so obvious to see. Now I will not be surprised if Kalifurnia wins the power ball tonight. Because both games always reset about the same time.

And the conspiracy theories arise due to another California/New York winner. Knock it off all ready!

The lottery is NOT a tax on the poor.  By calling it a tax, you are calling it mandatory, which is what taxes are.  But the lottery is NOT mandatory, therefore calling it a tax highly inaccurate.

Donated $5 to last night's drawing and won nothing as usual. With the jackpot starting fresh again, I can wait until next year before contributing any money to future MM jackpots.

Other states do win besides CA and NY, although it's increasingly rare.

It seems like years back jackpot wins would go like WI > IA > FL > MO > OH > TN, etc

Now it's more like CA > CA > CA > NY > NY > CA > IL > CA, etc

                Just not much variety.

Do you take your own advice when it comes to playing lotteries?

Well, jjtheprince, that's because CA hadn't joined Powerball yet.  Afterwards, the states with the largest  lottery ticket buyers (e.g., residents, foreign travelers traveling to West or East Coast, and non-residents crossing border from nearby state that doesn't win even every three years), dominate those jackpot wins results web pages.

In your third sentence, if you replace IL with NJ you'd have a very good sense this past 11 months of things between the MM and PB jackpot wins.

But, those of us who can't buy in those states still buy regularly (though perhaps waiting for jackpot to roll 4 times before we play), hoping that the lottery fairies will have mercy on us and throw us a jackpot win or jackpot two ticket sharing result.

Perhaps, pickone4me, folks haven't been placing their ever decreasing lottery ticket monies into a savings or checking account because those haven't earned any significant interest these past 12 years.  Low rates results in folks coming to a relization that their is little incentive to save money (or at least not to put much money into checking or savings accounts in this country).

Perhaps these folks have switched these monies from some other form of entertainment (e.g., movie theater, bowling, play theatre, book store, and/or video store).  Consequently, same money (or less) spent each week, yet not the "entertainment category" it used to be pulled from.

                      See Ya!

Well my money does go into a Credit Union account the one that I work at Big Grin secondly I never said I don't mind parting with a few dollars for the games Oklahoma has had many Powerball & Hot Lotto Jackpot winners  just haven't had a Mega Jackpot winner since the state got the game back in 2010. It would be nice if the state would get a jackpot game that rolled.
