When the news person said "Shallott North Carolina" I thought he was just trying to say Charlotte in a southern accent, ha.  Congrats to her, I wish her the best!

What if...just what if her Church "took her in" when she had no one to turn to. What if they showed great love for her and her family, providing food & other necessary things. Love compels us to return the favor- we know squat on how her church reached out to her etc etc. If she feels she needs to tithe- she could make a  $5 mil donation and still good about herself.

Others shove their millions up their noses and no one cares..yet just you give to your Church or place of Worship....

Well said noise-gate. My mother was an Evangelist she ministered to everyone she didn't care what color they were if you were in need she was there. My siblings and I would come home and there would be people eating/sleeping on our couches and pallets on the floor because of my mother opening her heart and house to people. When my mother passed away there was so many people of all colors at her funeral and they all spoke and said she was there for them when they had nothing.

Your mother was a true Christian and a better person than me. You were fortunate to have a person like her to be your mother.

It wasnt a bad move by any means going public either. She is going to control her destiny with this money not the other way around. Her and her family will be fortunate and fine for the rest of their lives....Im 100% sure of that

Come on guys, ENOUGH!!! Enough with all this negativity, bad vibes if not malice. Be happy for her, for them. We ALL wanted to have that feeling, to be 'shocked', to be relieved, to be ecstatic, even overwhelmed. Please stop with all the hating and mean spirited comments. Would I have come forward so quickly?, no but more so because i have so many issues i would need to clean up before. So good on her, go get that money girl!! Go get that money!!! ITS YOURS!!!!!

WAY TO GO Young Lady!!! Now go LIVE IT UP!!!! Be smart and careful and remember to ENJOY!! ENJOY!!! ENJOY!!! ENJOY!!!

I was glad to see someone win that truly needed the money. If she is meeting with an advisor and attorney she will be ok, if she listens to them and can stay away from the bloodsuckers.

And for those that think she's wrong for giving money to her church, not all churches are megachurches, and not all preachers are bad. Just like not all people of any particular profession are bad. But... some people just like to stereotype because they don't know any better.

Shackled by poverty, unshackled by the power of a powerball jackpot win. Raising a bunch of kids, without the ire and control of Social Services. Allow her to grow and glow, in the rays of sunshine that is the blessing that is bestowed upon her, through her faith by the Almighty. Her excitement says it all. You cannot deny her this moment in time even if you tried. It is a very special moment that will live forever. Like each one of us, there are going to be ups and downs, good decisions and bad decisions, good days and bad days. After all is said and done, she is still the one that won the jackpot and her decisions are the ones that count. ALLOW HER TO GROW!!! Congrats.

Allow me to point out the Real Issue here..

Jealousy!- Yeah, call me crazy but some of the posts almost have an underlying theme of " her winning is a mistake, giving money to the church-mistake, people wearing T-shirts saying " Rich"- mistake, claiming early- mistake..lets just translate that word into what it really is Jealousy. Jealousy is wanting or desiring something that someone else has that you feel ought to be yours, right.

Well let's face it, she won and we did not..live with it, some of this obnoxious advice has run its course.

People who say it cannot be done should not interrupt those who are doing it- George Bernard Shaw.

I am glad she won too.  I hope she takes annuity because she is assured that $$ will last. I don't think anything is going to happen to her, she is protected now.  At least she still got her kids and didn't give them up---she is blessed.
