ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — A Florida man is being held without bond, accused of murdering his friend with an ax during a fight over lottery tickets.
"I was defending myself," suspect Joseph Robinson said after his initial court appearance.
The victim was identified as John Henry Stubbs, 69. The father of 11 was killed in what investigators said was a gruesome act involving an ax.
"It's a shock. We're still trying to cope with it and deal with the situation right now," said Michelle Johnson, the victim's niece.
Witnesses and family members told investigators that an altercation over scratch-off tickets and money led to the attack. The Orange County Sheriff's Office said Robinson attacked and killed the victim with an ax and then ran away.
"He got mad, ran and got the ax and hit him with it twice," said Chakia Gardner, Robinson's ex-girlfriend. "He snuck him. Yeah, he snuck him," said witness Annie Macon. There were multiple witnesses to the crime, like Macon, who helped investigators identify the suspect within a few hours.
"It's going to be in my mind forever. Never seen anything like that," Macon said. But for the victim's daughters, sadness turned to anger. "He better hope the police get him, I swear to God," one daughter said.
Robinson's criminal record shows a violent past filled with charges of battery and domestic disputes dating back to 2008. He is now accused of murder.
"It's disheartening, but justice will be served," Johnson said. Robinson is being held in the Orange County Jail without bond.

The " Stand Your Ground" law is pretty SPECIFIC.One has to defend themselves " without retreating" if they feel their lives are threatened. According to Mr Robinson's ex gf, he ran away and RETURNED with an axe- that is not SYG, he may think so- the courts will decide whether it's cold blooded murder or self defense. Mr Robinson's is reaching in my opinion.

A driver at my job hit a parked car. He misjudged the amount of space & backed straight into her vehicle. He acknowledged he was 100% at fault and apologized. It could have ended there.
But when he got back to the office and was reprimanded, his first line of defense was, "well she was black". Of all the excuses that could be used, "the owner of the parked car I hit was black, so..." is one I didn't see coming.
Now here we go again. Race being brought into a situation where it doesn't need to be. Seriously, how does BLM have any bearing here?

It's longwinded, but it's made up of short stories, which I for one will never forget.
Just 2 days ago, I had to back up my vehicle. It's a good thing I look everywhere I go, because if I missed this opportunity,
I'd've hit the person who ended up behind me. Now, I don't make a single move in traffic unless I can see
where I'm going. I was backing up, to where I looked and saw it was clear. I wanted to proceed. Something in my
slow brain made me decide to look back once more. There was a "lady" of another race. I stopped. I let her go.
Now, I ask you, given that story, does it really sound like the white man would have truly been at fault if he had hit her car?
OR, DOES THIS SOUND LIKE SOMEONE WHO'S STOPPED RIGHT BEHIND ME, WAITING FOR ME TO HIT THEM.
I KNOW THE ANSWER TO THAT. But, I guess you you had to be there.

A similar situation a couple years prior:
I wanted to back out of a parking lot space, where I looked and proceeded.
Again, I decided to turn around and look before proceeding any further.
Same situation, only it was a different race person.
Why do "these people" stop right behind me? Is it because they see I'm a white driver?

AGAIN, a driver of another race was in her car, and I was pulled up right next to her. I had another 40 yards to reach my house.
I wasn't stopped, just proceeding normally to my house.
Well, this blankety-blank hit her gas, right when I was next to her car. Her wheels start spinning/screeching.
I DON'T THINK SHE EVEN CARED TO LOOK TO HER LEFT TO SEE IF TRAFFIC WAS CLEAR FOR HER TO PROCEED.
I hit my horn, and just laid on it. I'm right next to her, when she's screeching her tires. Is there ever any reason to do that?
AND DON"T TELL ME SHE PROBABLY HAD A FIGHT WITH YOUR BOYFRIEND, BECAUSE IF YOU DO, I'LL TELL YOU:
You're not even supposed to get behind the wheel, if your emotions are out of whack. It's illegal.
And, in the space right in front of one's house?
She finally woke up, stopped spinning her wheels, and she stopped. AGAIN, our cars were were right next to each other,
on this narrow street, no yellow lines or anything running down the center.
I WAS TRULY AFRAID SHE"D BASH INTO MY CAR. I KEEP MY CAR NICE.
So, I proceed to my house, and she no doubt gets the picture: DON'T ACT LIKE A FOOL.
Now, I live at a "T" intersection. As soon as I cleared the T, she takes the left turn and speeds off down the road and there are plenty of kids in this neighborhood (of all races). DON'T TELL ME SHE HAD A GOOD REASON. BECAUSE THAT GOOD REASON IS BOUND FOR JAIL.
I MEAN SHE DISREGARDED THE SITUATION THAT I CLEARLY AVERTED, BY LAYING ON MY HORN; THE SAME SITUATION FROM WHICH SHE CLEARLY LEARNED NOTHING.
I drive a MUCH faster car than she has, AND mine is in MUCH better condition than hers. I drive the slowest of anyone in the neighborhood. Coming and going. We're not on a main highway. Not even on a secondary one. Any lesser a neighborhood, and we'd have dirt roads. I know what's out there, and this area.
I'M LOOKING TO LEAVE THIS AREA BECAUSE OF ALL THE OTHER RACES, AND THE CIRCUS THEY BELIEVE THEY LIVE IN.

YET ANOTHER SITUATION: A "lady", again, of a different race, lives on the "T" part of what I described. She made the turn in her huge SUV, and our cars met face to face, me in my tiny car. CLEARLY SHE DIDN"T STOP OR PROCEED SLOWLY ENOUGH TO SEE IF THERE WAS ANOTHER CAR COMING. Because hey, it is a corner, and there are cars parked on both sides of the street.
Well, I was driving normally and safely, on the straight part. The female had to make her turn.
I didn't need to lay on my horn this time. I didn't move to one side or the other, either. I made her do all the moving, because she was clearly wrong. I wasn't about to get out of her way, I'd been living in this neighborhood for decades longer. I know how this neighborhood works.
Another time, this same woman, WITH ALL HER CONSIDERATION FOR OTHERS had blocked the one of the "T" parts I happened to be coming down. JUST COMPLETELY BLOCKED IT.
SHE WASN'T EVEN IN HER CAR!

Yet another situation. DIFFERENT PERSON THIS TIME. We have this one big highway. I'm cruising down in the right lane, doing my 55 and I come across this one person who was STOPPED. I mean COMPLETELY STOPPED, half way between the middle and right lanes. I stopped well in time. BUT, THERE WERE NO COPS OR OTHER EMERGENCY VEHICLES AROUND. But, he then put his signal on, and decided to take the exit which he barely missed, and had to stop the whole traffic flow. The exit leads to a downtown area, infested with drug activity. Again, nothing about race was raised. How could it? There are no traffic lights on this highway.
FIRST OF ALL, YOU DON"T STOP IN THE MIDDLE OF THE HIGHWAY. THERE IS A SHOULDER, AND YOU MUST PULL OFF THE MAIN HIGHWAY AND STOP THERE. ALSO, IT'S ILLEGAL TO DO WHAT HE DID. JUST LIKE IT'S ILLEGAL TO BACK UP ON THE SHOULDER AND TAKE THE EXIT YOU MISSED.
WHEN I MISS AN EXIT, I DON"T STOP ON THE DARN HIGHWAY, I TRY FOR THE NEXT ONE, REGARDLESS IF I'M LOST OR NOT.
But NO, NOT THIS GUY. HE had to take his exit, which was headed right for DRUG city, and to hell with everyone else.
Part of why I stopped driving the big truck is because you're often routed off the highway, and subject to the same thing I've related above.
Do I need to go on with more examples of why this white man (me) should be afraid to drive because of other races around here?
So, I suggest you stop all this "whites against all races baiting".
I've posted elsewhere why I refuse to have black friends and acquaintances and I hope these examples I've personally experienced, as well as the past 2 lottery post stories will help prove to you why.
All of your incidences of driving drama may just be a string of coincidences, that you are blowing out of proportion in your mind - over reacting to. It is not necessarily a common regular occurrence, that constitutes a "race thing", to justify having no minority friends. - [It's just been your tough luck driving a car in the wrong areas.]
The majority of Black People are not like what you have experienced driving around.
A lot of people make the mistake of judging a whole race of people based on some isolated negative experience with a small number of that race of people.

Sounds like you drive around with suppressed Road Rage yourself [that you may be unaware of] , and you're trying to make it a "Race Thing" when you encounter other aggressive drivers.
