.

AMADOU,

IMAGINE WHAT THE FOLKS BACK HOME WOULD SAY!

MR. GROPPO

  • Don't chase the numbers you play.
  • Play only numbers you've already played, plus however many random picks.
  • But, ALWAYS the regular numbers you play.  This will make you a winner, not a chaser.
(so far, though, I've yet to win any significant lotto prize)

It will take over 170 years for him to make 4M pounds, working his current job. You better go get your PB/MM tickets now. All it actually takes is one ticket but I'll get a hundred just for the heck of it. Good luck to all.

Congratulations to Amadou Gillen! Now, what does Amadou pay in taxes over in the UK? Can some Lottery Post member tell me, please. Thanks!

No tax on the jackpot so he gets the full 4 million.

We'd NEVER get that 'lucky' in the good old US of A.  The IRS loves to tax just about everything.  My thinking is if didn't have the Federal tax, they'd get their money sooner or later with purchases or interest income; perhaps not as much though.

Yo Dog, I'd like to make a suggestion to your statement that "the IRS loves to tax just about everything".

The suggestion is: THE DEMOCRAT POLITICIANS love to tax just about everything.

Good on him for seeing his shift through. This is why I never check my tickets while at work though. I know if I won a significant amount that the urge to just up and leave my job would probably be too great to resist.
