Maybe it was two years ago or so, but there was a story about a woman who won a million dollars.  At the time she was collecting welfare payments and she continued to receive those payments even after she won.  When authorities asked her why she continued to receive welfare she said something like....I was entitled.  LOL!  I think NC is more concerned about someone winning 50K, 100K or more, not a measly 2,500.

Type into the LP Search box, Amanda Clayton. Her's was a tragic case. She compounded her mistakes one upon another.

Her case reminds me to seek counsel with my winnings. Use some of that cash and buy advice.

I've been rich and I've been poor. Believe me, rich is better.

$2,250 is such a piddley little amount to even worry about investigating & such.  Make it $25,000.
