This is one time I'm not blaming the neighbors. He's an extremely inexperienced flyer and he put everyone at risk doing what he did. Not to mention all the noise. It's inconsiderate, it's dangerous and it's obnoxious.

Remember the Lotto Lout? Built a derby in his back yard. Was racing vehicles and crashing them and blasting music and was basically was being as big a nuisance as he could, for the sole reason that he could...because he had money he felt he could do anything he wanted to and to hell with the neighbors. When they spoke to the press they sounded a lot like this Aubrey guy.

I wouldn't be so quick to make this be about him having bad neighbors.

Besides, what would he have left to move with. They won $100,000. Those things cost $30,000+. After taxes, and the Mosquito, I'm guessing the remaining money went to the wife.

I have to agree, I hate it when the neighbors get out early on a Sunday morning with those leaf blowers and lawn mowers.  Couldn't at least wait until 8 o'clock?  It is not a good neighbor to be trying to fly a helicopter in your front yard, those things are not quiet.  He disturbed the tranquility of the neighborhood and put neighbors lives and property in danger.

"lt would seem that Timothy’s neighbors were counting on him to fail. "

His neighbors are just smarter than he is, and therefore able to recognize the obvious. Here's the front yard where he was trying to fly his helicopter: https://goo.gl/maps/ZMHZfUjyd5M2

    And another view: https://goo.gl/maps/MjopqyYuBnB2

And all this time, l was under the impression  that Timothy was attempting to land his unit where homes are butting up against each other. This guy is out in the country.True, the neighbors were smarter, but he had enough space to land & take off, if he had cut down some of those trees. The neighbors are still nasty imo, they probably would have complained if the guy took up hangliding.

Wasn't exactly the lottery winner is it, but the husband of the lottery winner.

Guy was a blithering idiot. There's a reason people learn to fly at airports where there aren't trees or power lines all over the property & the ground is pretty much flat. If I was his neighbor I'd have set up video cameras facing his property to film the inevitable crash.

He should have bought some helicopter flying lessons first--imho.

If his wife won why is his name on the lottery check?
