At 6 a.m. this morning, the Minnesota State Lottery launched the Lottery's newest Minnesota only, daily all-cash lotto game called Northstar Cash.

For $1 players select five numbers from 1 to 31 for a chance to win Northstar Cash's jackpot that will start at $25,000 and grow until it is won. Players can purchase up to 14 draws at one time."


Northstar Cash fits well within our Online Game lineup," Lottery Director George Andersen said of the game. "We think it will be popular with Lottery players interested in the excitement of a daily drawing with higher payouts. Northstar Cash is very winnable overall odds are approximately 1 in 6. We expect lots of jackpot winners from this game."

The drawings for Northstar Cash will be conducted daily after the Daily 3® drawing with a sales cutoff time of 6:10 p.m. on the day of the drawing.

To help introduce Northstar Cash, the Lottery will run a Northstar Cash player promotion. Players who make a $5 Northstar Cash purchase (on one ticket) will receive an entry for a drawing to win one of three Ford Ranger XLTs. Players mail the entries to the address listed on the coupon. All entries must be received by Nov. 12, 2003.
