Mega Millions

The jackpot in the multi-state Mega Millions lottery grew to $121 million Wednesday, the biggest Mega Millions jackpot in four months.

None of the tickets sold for Tuesday's $100 million drawing matched all five lotto numbers and the Mega Ball.  The next drawing will be Friday.

There were fourteen second-prize winners from Tuesday night's drawing: 1 from Georgia, 1 from Illinois, 3 from Michigan, 2 from New Jersey, 3 from New York, 2 from Ohio, 1 from Texas, and 1 from Virginia.  Those tickets are each worth $175,000.

Sixty-four players matched four of the five lotto numbers, plus the Mega Ball number.  Those tickets are each worth $5,000.

The winning numbers from Tuesday's drawing were: 18, 23, 27, 29, and 44.  The Mega Ball number was 24.

If there are no jackpot winners from this date (6/16) until the 7/23 draw---and figuring conservatively--- the jackpot for that draw would be approximately $720-750 million.  ( and, unfortunately, VERY unlikely to occur.  Given that MM will probably be won in the next draw or two, the 7/23 jackpot is more likely to be in the $70 million range assuming no intervening winner)

Good luck, though.  I'd love to see a new record amount!

I pray day and night that my Dear friend will get us that lucky lotto ticket. I have dreams too, ya know. We made a deal over a year ago, that we would split the jackpot win 50/50 when our numbers came up.

Good luck to all.

HAM1,

I looked at the site and it looks good. One question. Are there any fees? Does all the money collected go towards buying tickets or is some withheld by the organizer?

Thanks,
Jake
