A former procurement officer with the South Carolina Education Lottery has been released on bond after his arrest on charges that he converted $425 for his own use.
Robert Lyon, 25, turned himself in Friday evening at the Richland County jail, a State Law Enforcement Division spokeswoman said.
Lyon is charged with breach of trust, according to the warrant. Lyon took $25 promotional certificates in April 2003 and used them a month later for himself, the warrant states.
Lottery spokeswoman Tara Robertson would not release Lyon's employment dates or discuss his job responsibilities.
