new (to me) hypothesis...
Everything in nature is trying to find balance, from us as people to the cells inside of us to the atoms everywhere...
I'm stuck on LoopRS development now, but the next one on the back burner will be based on the concept of Homeostasis
perhaps instead of looking for the most frequent or least likely we should be seeing what draw results will tend to balance out the draw frequency...
I didn't ditch PROfile, because there is much valuable data there tha...

DB vs. Spreadsheet
Still plugging away here...
got an access DB built with all PB sort order data. Now to build the queries...
As for the Excel sheets, big leaps in summary screen automation and updating is getting to be a quicker process... system finally generates the quick pick just by entering the results from the last draw.
think I'll keep 'em both!
hot indicators are definitely direction and divisibility, still awaiting inspiration on narrowing them down however....

MS Access for PowerBall
Ahh the challenges of designing a database.
After much thinking and a quick review of the Designing a database book I used to study for my MCDBA, I have come to the realization that my entire suite of excel workbooks can be reduced to 2 tables and a few carefully crafted queries... Added bonuses,
1) new filters can be added as easily as dropping in a new query.
2) once complete, a few minor changes can be made to convert to any game
3) I can backtest...

Looking at old data in new ways
As I mentioned last post, I am right now only concentrating on the 1:42 red ball in PB. I am working on an excel file called PROfile that presents several bits of info...
1. RAW odds
for example, the number 5, RAW data would indicate that there are 4 numbers lower, 1 repeat, and 37 higher. using percentages, you can see raw odds of the next number drawn being higher/lower (5 favors higher)
2. Observed history
same scenario, only using observed history.
3. Confide...

Instead of trying to copy and paste Excel.
Each Group consists of 60 combinations.
Total of 12 Grouos.
The idea of creating Groups of combinations such as Consecutives, Evens, Odds. The remaining 9 Groups consist of various Pair types (Ghost Pairs, Even Pairs, Odd Pairs, Mirror Pairs)
Win D posted a thread based on using all consecutive number combinations (012, 123...

Pick 4 Referencing
Has anyone ever looked at a 3-5 year history file of a pick 3 or pick 4 and then possibly taken the drawings as a reference around the drawing you search for? When you reference your numbers do you ref the first 2, middle 2, and end 2 in the pick 4? I do in fact do this because it is very important when picking numbers. There are some numbers that can be linked to another number, which is sometimes named as their relative numbers, which will also hold some value to yo...

getting into vba for this RNG attempt
so far, the coding is going well... need to get some variable seed sweeps going, gotta learn more about excel to pull that off.
I can make it pick fixed numbers with the rnd(-1) call, and randomize using any seed I want without changing after a recalc... now to find the right seed or seed progression to make some hits appear...
I have a backtest sheet that uses simultaneous picks, it will pick 1 three-digit number and then 3 individual digits to try both methods.
sheet for...

on to the next thing...
SB is a no-go, can't get any improvements.
on to the next set of projects...
up now is the PRNG synch for PA mid 3/4, and some paper testing of a focused forecast for powerball... too complex for backtesting right now, lost a bit of ambition on the SB bust...
I have to start PA mid testing clean-sheet because I don't normally track CPU draws. seed fortesting will start at the number value of the date+time (also known as NOW() in excel) adding 13:10 as a start and...

system activity picking up @ the LP
very good to see. in pick3/4 there are 2 classes in Lottery Systems forum...
tntea's v-tracs and LANTERN's Tao of filters.
in Lottery Discussion forum, mention of possibly working on a lottosynch type RNG synchronizer for pick 3/4 games
on the personal front,
1. CAD system (LONG devel cycle, no rollout date, details in earlier blog)
2. pick3/4 RNG midday killer (still working on it, details in earlier blog)...
