How to get rid of the dreaded pound sign
This is my next installment of technical blog entries dealing with technology-related techniques I've created during my re-architecting of Lottery Post. Lottery Post is built from Microsoft technologies, including ASP.NET 2.0 (running on IIS 6.0), SQL Server 2005, and Microsoft's Atlas technologies, soon to be called the Microsoft AJAX Library, ASP.NET 2.0 AJAX Extensions, and ASP.NET AJAX Control Toolkit. This entry deals with an issue that some people may not know about, others...

You're a redneck if.....
You think that potted meat on a saltine is an hors d'ouerve. There is a stuffed possum anywhere in your house. You consider a six-pack and a bug-zapper high-quality entertainment. Fewer than half of your cars run. Your mother doesn't remove the Marlboro from her lips before telli...

It's a whole new sphere...
Blogoshpere. Yes, the whole new world of bloggers: Political bloggers, literary bloggers, picture bloggers, anonymous bloggers, etc. Whoever started blogging, perhaps had no idea how it would catch on, like wild fire, across the globe. An eventful day.
Well, I was volunteering at OktoberfEAST, an OU event, and me and someone were rolling out an insulation box (You know. The thing that keeps food warm.) and we hit a ledge, and the thing, carrying approx.150-200 lbs. of food, tipped over...and landed on my foot. It really hurts right now, and I think I may have to go to the emergency room to see how much damage I did. I bandaged it up, and stopped the bleeding, but I may have a broken toe or a fracture or something like that. Right now, I'm...

Ever have one of those moments where you want a meeting to be over?
Today's tRAC (the Residents' Action Council) meeting was extraordinarily long (1 hour and 30 minutes. They usually last for less than an hour.). We had 5 votes today, and 4 of the 5 were on the same subject: Giving funding for a program. We tried voting on half the person's asking amount (The person screwed up the funding norm, so the majority usually went with "no".) The first vote was "no", so one fourth of the amount was proposed, and that got a bigf "no". Both sides had a big discussio...
