GLENDALE - 911 calls normally aren't funny -- but when a Glendale man came home to a man robbing his house over the weekend, he tackled him and held him still while talking on the phone to a 911 dispatcher.
Homeowner Perry Bigley told a 911 operator, I have th...

The old man and the dog
(Get a hanky out, but this one is good....)
Subject:
THE OLD MAN AND THE DOG
by Catherine Moore
Watch out! You nearly broad sided that car! My father yelled at me. Can't you do anything right?
Those words hurt worse than blows. I turned my head toward the elderly man in the seat beside me, daring me to challenge him. A lump rose in my throat as I averted my eyes. I wasn't prepared for another battle.
I saw the car,...

Sheep or Sheepdog?
Good metaphor, what are you?
This is what the world is today.
Can you read this all the way through and not classify yourself?
Here you go.

40s lyrics (Mostly) # 1
When You Wish Upon a Star
When you wish upon a star,
makes no difference who you are
Anything your heart desires will come to you
If your heart is in a dream,
no request is too extreme
When you wish upon a star as dreamers do
Fate is kind, she brings to those who love
The sweet fulfillment of t...

Glenn Miller songs Lyrics
Chattanooga choo choo
Step aside partner, it's my day
Bend an ear and listen to my version
(Of a really solid, Tennisee excursion)
Pardon me boys, is that the Chattanooga Choo Choo?
(Yes Yes) Track 29!
Boy you can give me a shine
(Can you afford to board, the Chattanooga Choo Choo?)
I've got my far...

Jokes of the Universe
Well, first I must give credit to Rip Snorter and his blog entries that have inspired me to write here. Tonight is night 3 of my plan to drink red wine and pull my own tooth. The other night I did a google search on pulling one s own tooth. There s no way I am going to pay $165 or whatever the rate has gone up to now, for some Nazi dentist to do the little 20 second deed for so much money. Come to think of it, that must be how guys feel about paying a lot of money to hoo...

The Art Of Laughing
When I was 8 or 9 years old, living in Manhattan, New York, I walked to my local Woolworth store on Broadway. I bought this little device that had a laugh track, when you shook it. It didn't tell you a joke or anything. It just had a man laughing incessantly.
The whole point to all this is that I would laugh along, and wonder why this was so funny. It seems that when someone hears laughter consistently, they laugh along.
Laught...
