Tar Heels Marching Toward Atlanta?
The North Carolina men's basketball team seems to be hitting its stride already, and we are only a week into January. This Tar Heel team came off the month of December undefeated at 7-0, becoming one of 7 Tar Heel teams to go unbeaten in December. Six of those teams went on to the Final Four, and the most recent, the 2005 squad, brought the title back to Chapel Hill. How good is this team? It's hard to say really. With a cast of underclassmen - there is only one scholarship senior in Re...

bill clinton (a short bio of the fine man and his great life)
During the administration of William Jefferson Clinton, the U.S. enjoyed more peace and economic well being than at any time in its history. He was the first Democratic president since Franklin D. Roosevelt to win a second term. He could point to the lowest unemployment rate in modern times, the lowest inflation in 30 years, the highest home ownership in the country's history, dropping crime rates in many places, and reduced welfare rolls. He proposed the first balanced budget in decades and...

Former Co-Worker At SLAC- ATTn: Speedy
Speedy claims I don't know anything about Blacks, because I attended segregated schools. The gentleman I commuted with for four years, mentioned here https://www.lotterypost.com/blog/6174 , is black. One of the most honest, kindest human beings, I have ever know. Before they could hire me at SLAC, they had to promote someone to same level as they were hiring me. It turned out to be him. The first time, I met him, I told him, you are the b...

A wolf, a fox, & a sheep voting on lunch
If Ron Brown were still alive, I might still be a Democrat, because Clinton wouldn't have had his 4 seconds change of expression . That said, I have discovered that on the body politic, the dems are the left wrist, the reps are the left elbow, and they both give us the left... middle finger. It is fitting that they were once the same party. They still are. The electoral process is basically Vote for one of these 2 idiots . Any decent candidate runs out of money before th...

Survivor, now in Cobb, recalls Holocaust By TAMMY CLABBY For the Journal-Constitution 03/13/08 In the darkness of a sealed Bucharest apartment during World War II, Andre Kessler most remembers the sounds he heard as a tiny, Jewish toddler in hiding: his mother constantly telling him to be quiet while the squeals of othe...
