Won more than you thought...
Yes, this has happened to me a few times with scratchoff tickets. Some of the games like the bingo cards can be confusing. You never quite know what you win until the ticket is run through the machine because you can win multiple times on one ticket. It's easy to miscalculate.

Computer Glitch? Comments please.
Where I work the terminals will print a ticket.. qp for no reason at all.. We can be cleaning or stocking and we hear the machine and go up to find a powerball ticket printed.. I usually buy it or split it with the co-workers.. Who knows why this happens?

Mega Draw
The ticket sellers in Canada all have a machine that you stick the top half of your ticket into it tells you if you have any winners. Takes 2 seconds.

Am I going crazy?
Ah no, as you would soon find out when trying the strategy. The ezmatch numbers are randomly chosen by the terminal after you submit your numbers. They can all be like your first ticket example, no winning matches between played numbers and ezmatch numbers. As each ticket is printed independently there is no call to the terminal to assign 36 different ezmatch numbers, but it is charged with maintaining the posted odds, so it is more like playing a slot machine. Keno idiots
I play keno quite a bit and nothin is more frustrating than waiting for the person runnin the keno machine to get off the phone out of the bathroom whatever this has happened quite a bit since in massachussets all keno retailers serve booze ((we all know how 2 things mix) nothin worse than watchin your number pop and your standing there holding an expired ticket--so get twenty draws per ticket and get back up there after 19 of them have come --

I swear, Lottery retailers need training!
PA has started the automated machines, they work great for folks who want to pick their own. Or run their own tickets. Only draw back is: Tickets can't be canceled - or jamming does occur and no human/employee will be available to fix the jam or retrieve the 20$ bill you just stuck in the machine. So in essence its a gamble; be it a human or an automated machine, accidents happen. I personally dont care for the folks who do hog the terminal for forty minutes playing dailys and pick 4's without

....if you could create your own lottery
Well that is a good question...and after thinking about it for a little bit I have come up with a answer.I'm in CT and they both day and night but, they use the same machine. So the pick 3 and 4 I would leave the machine and picking alone but would change the payouts. One is I would allow people to play for .25 instead of .50 for both pick 3 4. It would give a smaller payout but, at least you would be able to do what we do on the place in the sky.Maybe a .75 backbet also. Not sure how this woul

Winning Coincidences?
JoeinPA1, let's face it, you got to be in it to win it. When the jackpot is really high people that don't usually buy a ticket will splurge and buy a couple. The machine doesn't know if you're rich or poor, all it knows is that someone bought a ticket. No sympathy here.

trashed tickets
First, I always play my own numbers for all types of lottery. For a lotto game with a big jackpot, I would find out the numbers from a very reliable source which in most states would mean being able to view the drawing on TV (but not in DE, no more televised drawings of any type, so I go to a retailer and ask for a report ticket for the particular lotto game and check my tickets). I usually know pretty quick when I see the numbers for a jackpot game, if I have winners, as I wheel in small numbe

trashed tickets
ok let me add my 2 cents worth on this subject. In july of 2003 I was in a convenience store having some tickets scanned. the guy working the store was from the middle east. he scanned several tickets, and finally I heard the winning tone on the machine, meaning I had a winning ticket, well like a fool I walked away from the machine to get a soft drink, and when I did the tone sounded yet again. But when I inquired about the second ticket he said it was not a winner, then when I asked to see it
