Computerized drawings are nice ...
Why are you continuing to beat a dead horse? You already mentioned that you were enraged, so we all get it. Frankly, nothing has transpired here that should enrage anybody. You stated your opinion, and several other people stated their opinions. That's what a discussion forum is for. Lottery Post does not exist so that you can post an outrageous statement like computerized drawings are great! and everyone has to sit there quiet because they are afraid of enraging you. You can pos

Shouldn't we want more computerized lottery systems?
First of all it's sequitur not sequiter . And I doubt I have to demonstrate it to the entire LP community because I assume most here understand basic physics. True randomness does not exist, because it cannot exist! Everything operates within the boundaries of a finite system. Sure the variables are there but even these have finite limits. Cause and effect=not random. Because of this, patterns have the possibility of existing, because they MUST exist. Whether or not this correlates to the number

ARe Hackers 1 step ahead in the lotto??I always had a hunch..
Nice post. The thing is, there is an alarming number of states that don't use real mechanical drawings -- they use computers. (Click State Lottery Report Card in the Results menu to see which ones.) To say that no drawing has been hacked may be true among states with real drawings (save the single incident in Pennsylvania many years ago), but with computerized drawings the fact is we just don't know. The only thing we know for sure is that major incidents have occurred, some existing for s

Texas Lottery confirms that Quick Picks are not generated by "central computer"
OK, this is getting a bit far-fetched. At the very least, when someone uses a RNG, they use the computer's built-in system tick clock as the new RNG seed value before each use of the RNG. The article I posted in the other thread stated that state lotteries use a much more dynamic and unpredictable seed value than that, however. Frankly, the concept of the lottery using a RNG seed value to manipulate ticket combinations is not a viable theory, because it would not work. You are giving t

RNG controlled
Of course there is proof. Because the machine that generates the random numbers is the lottery terminal itself, not some central computer. The lottery machine (the machine that prints out your ticket) generates the random numbers, sends those numbers to the central computer in the same way it sends numbers that you selected, and then prints the ticket. This description of the process has been verified multiple times. There are many reasons to want computerized drawings eliminated, but this i

how to use bayes theory in the lottery?
877- 292, 29, 22 836- 266, 26,66 -* mind you MN pick3 drawings are computerized, and this formula is based on gravity, i.e. gravity mix machines air ball machines etc, so I can t really say much about that, NY is 100% true lottery drawings, which is why imo it works well in NY. But suggest perhaps just watch and see. Or if you can look back at the previous 877 and 836 drawings and see if any of those pairs did show up. It s tough to say with computerized drawings as I don t play in or with

Proof that the Lottery is RIGGED
Saying the lottery is rigged is inflammatory and wrong. The lottery is not systematically rigged, as you are saying. My comments about real drawings vs. computerized drawings are common sense and spelled out logically in detail. You will note that I do not accuse the lottery of rigging anything, because that would be false. I do, however, say that computerized drawings are the cause of many errors over the years, and do not provide the level of transparency that I believe should exist in all dra

What Would You do If You Knew The Lotteries were Cheating and You Could Prove It?
Well that's not exactly the case. There were people who knew that the Tennessee lottery was cheating the people. Soon after they started their computerized drawings some people let them know and the problem was supposedly fixed. Computerized drawings are easy to rig. Ball drawings are a whole lot harder to rig and i doubt they would have too. The odds they have for the drawings are already in their favor. Why would they risk rigging the games the profit margin is in their pockets.

Hint Hint Tennessee!
No More Numbered Balls for TN Lottery The Tennessee Lottery is no longer using numbered balls to announce winning numbers for game drawings. Instead of the drawings that air on television, the lottery is using computers to generate random numbers for games, including Cash 3, Cash 4 and Lotto 5. Lottery officials say some players have complained about the new system. Nashville resident Richard Brymer says he doesn't trust computerized drawings. He says he quit playing state lo

Agent provacateurs
Jack: Those are all very interesting and perfectly valid thoughts. You raise some thoughtful questions, and I would love to hear what others have to say on this topic. In a perfect world, people from the state lotteries would make themselves heard on this issue, if only to comfort those who feel they are too distant and mysterious. lottolaughs: Are you suggesting that the lotteries somehow pre-determine which numbers are going to be drawn? I suppose if you want to think in terms of what is
