BUT,,,,what are the odds THAT: in Illinois, on Monday the 19th, 179 hit in the Pick 3, with a fireball of 8 in the EVE draw. Guess what hit on the Mid day draw on Tuesday, the 20th, but 791......with a fireball of 8????? OK....mnnn.....random computer generated??? Yea, ok!!!!! The only thing We achieve is just tackle a smaller set first but at the end, when We expand to 5 positions, We would still be facing the same odds. Also playing pick 3 as pick 3 000 to 999 with odds per position as math averages, etc. won't be same for the middle 3 powerball or megamillions numbers. For the Powerball the best bet is to shoot for the 2nd and below prizes, it looks like it's set at 1 million and each winner gets 1 million. But the odds are 1 in 11,688,053.52 the regular pick 5 games have better odds,

But for the life of the group, the group buys over 1,000 tickets. Then the odds of winning are about 1 in 300,000. Impossible to get those odds on any national or state game when playing as an individual and aiming to win over $1 million.

the odds on buying one ticket and winning are 1 in 302.5 million for the mega millions and 1 in 292.2 million, hence the reason players and groups buy multiple tickets. They are many things that folks would be surprised have better odds than these.

What Stat fails to understand is that odds of any game are determined by..... MATH. Math is how odds are found.
