Tennessee's top 10 scratchers
The following is my top ten Tennessee scratch offs on the market at your nearest gas station. (10. Junior Jumbo Bucks ($1) Odds 1:4.9 Top Prize $10,000 Number of Top Prizes 19) I've not played JUNIOR as much as I've played senior but I like the number of top prizes and the amount of the top prize. The top prize is the most for any $1 scratch off offered in TN. For that it gets my number 10 spot. (9...

Horse Racing - Overlays
There are two ways to determine overlays. One is the horse's closing odds and the other is using the morning line odds as a guide. I use morning line odds and here's why. Horse A.........fair odds 5/1........morning line 7/2...................closing odds 8/1 Horse B.........fair odds 5/1........morning line 8/1...................closing odds 8/1 Horse A is a bigger overlay from his morning line but why is he such an overlay? The morning line gauged...

Thinking About Lottery Odds
I do understand that I don't know much at all about odds for lottery games. But it seems to me that if a tombola lottery container has or holds inside of it 10 lottery balls and they draw out one ball out of the ten, that each of the ten balls had odds of 1/10 and that it will ALWAYS be like so when they only draw one of ten balls out regardless of anything else. And if a tombola lottery container has 24 balls in it and they draw one of the 24 balls out that each of the 24...

Horse Racing - How to Beat the Takeout
Note: For anyone not familiar with takeout...it is the money the track skims off the top of the betting pools before you see the odds on the toteboard. Usually it's around 17% and that's how they make their money. Beating the Track Takeout Tools needed: A) Morning line odds B) A good rating system (this could be any rating system you wish, such as speed ratings, etc., but the top-rated horse should win roughly 30% of the time to q...

The wizard of odds
In every numeric lottery its numbers are supposed to be drawn at certain frequency rate which is defined as odds for the number. Pick 3 is such a lottery which defines odds for each of its numbers. These are mathematical odds, a ratio that is equal for all numbers. For Pick 3 lottery there are 3 numbers from 0 to 9 drawn independently to form a 3-digit winning number (e.g. 123). The odds for each of these single digit numbers are the same: 1 in 10. Thus, if...

The KACHING Report will be delayed + update to my "proposed" challenge idea from a while ago...
The KACHING Report will be delayed slightly today. I very likely won't be slow playing tomorrow, so I'm getting some tickets today. I'll more than likely make YouTube videos from those tickets....that's the reason for the delay. Remember the challenge idea I came up with a while ago in my blog posts (when I got my lottery selector )? Well......I've been tinkering around and think I might have come up with an idea that I call Billionaire Hot Streak&...

The "One In 1000" Project -- Introduction
A recent discussion on the Lottery Post forums centered around whether you could improve your odds of winning a lottery jackpot by buying more tickets. Long story short, it came down to semantics; it depended on how you defined the terms odds and chances and on how much weight you place on mathematics. The correct answer is: You do increase your chances and reduce your odds with each ticket you buy. (I prefer to replace increase and...

The ShOcKiNg truth about powerball odds...
Before moving in a positive direction with my excel work against the PB, I gotta let out the negativity, so here goes... First, let's start on the same page, with the simplest of all games (nice round numbers), the straight pick 3. (not worth the time to get into box play) In pick 3, you are playing 3 sequential games of 1:10, you MUST match all 3 games correctly to have a straight hit. odds of first correct ball = 1:10 odds of also selecting the second correct ball =...

KY Top 10 Scratch offs.
KY scratchers were hard to sort through. Mainly because very few have top prizes remaining. Odds on some tickets were great and some were very BAD! Here's what I got. (My hint to KY scratcher players is buy only new games because they run out of top prizes fast and buy $10 and $20 tickets because those odds are great.) Here's my list of KY Scratch offs: 10. Money Bags ($1). The odds aren't very good on this ga...

TN top Ten Scratch offs.
My top 10 Scratch offs for TN are: 10. Sapphire Blue 7's ($5) TN's 2nd $5 ticket is fun. It has pretty good odds. 1:3.07. Top prize is $77,777 which is a fun number if you hit it. They have plenty of 2nd and 3rd place prizes with this game. 9. Lucky Cherry Slots ($1) I like this game for the fact that it has quite a few top prizes left and the odds are ok for a $1 scratcher for TN. Odds of winning something 1:4.5...
