New York- The Million Dollar Raffle
New Yorkers do play raffle games... except they do it in Pennsylvania.
New York's border state of Pennsylvania has been holding their Millionaire Raffle for more than the last 20 consecutive years.
They sell just 500,00 tickets, ($20 each) tickets sales run from November 4, 2025 to January 3, 2025. Odds are 125,000 to 1 to win one million dollars due to the fact they award four one million dollar prizes. I can't ever recall a Millionaire Raffle drawing where they didn't sell all 500,000

Are you playing Mega Millions with the $5.00 per play?
It seems to me as though it could be a combination of risk/reward ratio and a money management technique that every player *should* have for themselves.
1 Ticket for x jackpot amount, 1 ticket for 5x amount, 1 ticket for 10x amount, 1 ticket for 100x amount, etc... 1 Ticket total per try, 5 tickets total, 10 tickets total, 100 tickets total etc...
It is certainly up to each player to decide what amount is acceptable for their risk/reward ratio and money management goals for them to join

they are just playing in our faces
so now
9/17/25 239 dropped midday and on
9/18/25 239 dropped again straight and again midday and on
9/19/25 239 dropped again straight and again midday and on
9/20/25 293 dropped this time boxed and again midday

The ball machine tech, forgot to switch out the rigged ball machines.

classic questions on lottery forums
Studying past draws is a waste of time. Each drawing is an independent random event. The only way to increase the probability of winning is to buy more tickets.
It is true that each drawing is an independent random event. Since I mostly play the pick 3, it is also independent by position.
Also, more tickets is the only way to change the odds. But I am frugal so I would rather pick 1 combo than 10 or more, as the draw will still be from 1,000 combinations regardless of how many would be

But in the lottery, people refer to odds in the same way as probability. So on this board, they are the same for all practical purposes .

Get your terms right.
The probability of a three digit number hitting straight is a constant.
It's voodoo math that implies the odds keep changing.
Huh, Ole Stat$ got the Termz right... Notice that I didn't play 674 AGAIN, the next day.... It'z proof that itz Probabilty had CHANGED .. , nor did 674 fall the next day...So, It'z NOT CONSTANT ...

DC 5 Lottery needs to be audited immediately. The same thing that happened to Tennessee in 2007
This was bought to my attention from jimjwright regarding my prior post of DC Pick 5 1-200 million odds
As of right now Dc 5 has played all single digits 36 times in a row. Not 1 duplicate digit has been played in the 36 draws. Duplicate digits make up roughly 70% of the numbers. Mathematically this is impossible and seems to be what happened to pick 3 and Pick 4 in Tennessee in 2007

Is there any method or system that can an predict the first digit that will fall in Pick 3
No, buying all of the tickets is a guaranteed win. But, buying all 1,000 pick 3 combinations will cost twice as much as the payout. In PA it pays $500 for $1 straight.
All I am saying is that there are no math tricks that apply here because the possible outcomes are always the same. 2:1,000 is equivalent to 1:500 in general, but not in this case.
Playing all of the combos is discouraged by the odds and the payouts...
With a $1 straight bet in Pennsylvania;
Pick 2 pays $50, there

Are you playing Mega Millions with the $5.00 per play?
FYI,
If you're hoping for all x10s on your play lines, here's a small table of 1 to 5 play lines and the probabilities of getting a quantity of x10s.
