NEW POLL: Have any of you met a lottery winner?
If so, did you talk to him/her? What are their lives like? I have watched television interviews of lottery winners and became curious about their lives for years. What are your thoughts on this? It would be interesting to hear about the effects of lottery fame from the perspectives of various lottery winners.

I wouldn't date anyone after a big win, because I would think they were only interested because of the money. Especially if you are in the newspaper and on television because of it. That only makes sense.

i loved a e when i had cable.thing is now i just have regular television.good thing because right now comcast took over from time warner and there has been a bunch of confusion and discontent ever since.

PBS television has a commercial in which birds landing on a five telephone lines inspires a composer at his piano, their positions on the line are seen as musical notes and he starts to play a tune as they land. The tune must have been in the key of C because I never did see any sharps or flats on the line.

..........After playing 111 on and off since Jan 02 and missing them consistantly, it was overwhelmingly, unbelievable, and simply rewarding just watching 111 POP up before my eyes on television in early 2006 - I was just glad that I played it for several days that week, since I've always missed 111 whenever it seldomed played!

what kind of person are you?
i'm curious lottery players.besides having an interest in the lottery do you consider yourself an indoor person or an outdoor person? do you stay on the computer,phone or watch television all day and night or are you constantly out and on the move? besides work and when i'm not doing errands i'd rather sit at home and chill with my dog and kids.my interest are reading,internet,gambling,sports,etc.

i thought it would be a good poll.i agree with you.i don't think that someone should have to give up the right to buy a lottery ticket just because they had a quarter of weed on them or was drinking a beer and driving at 4am when the road was deserted.even if they passed bad checks or stole a television after they get out of jail they should have the right.a lot of times i just do these polls to see how most people think.its interesting sometimes to see the outcome.......

NY Pick 10 drawings are on cable (actually, when the P10 segment comes on TV, the balls have already been drawn.) All other NY drawings (including Mega Millions) are on free television.

I understand justxploring. Not everyone is going to like it. In a way, it has a soap opera feel about it, but that is the point. It isn't a reality show. There has to be drama and unreal types situations. If people believe what they see on a fictional television show...well they probably need some help. I think it looks interesting, but I guess I'll have to wait and see if it is bad or not.

Virginia Lottery drawings take place in the special lottery studios at WTVR-TV 6 in Richmond. Currently, two other stations also air the drawings. They are WAVY-TV 10 in Hampton Roads, and WDBJ-TV 7 in Roanoke. If you miss the live drawings on television, you can see video of the drawings on the Lottery's web site.
