Curious Minds Want to Know
I travel about a mile to Illinois to buy Mega Million tickets and sometimes a scratch off ticket or two.I travel about a mile to Missouri to buy gas because the fuel tax is cheaper there than here in Iowa. Sometimes I'll buy scratch off tickets when I fill up the gas tank.I don't buy Powerball tickets in Missouri because I buy them here in Iowa,no sense in paying taxes in both states when I win.I'll buy tickets in other states if I happen to be in a state that sells lottery tickets but I won't m

Worst And Best Lottery Web Sites
Hey Cointoss - thanks for that information! I found the Missouri faq really interesting. Most states are pretty boring and have little info. Sounds like Missouri has a fun time, really help you out - and they have a Millionaires Picnic every year too!

Florida, Oklahoma, Nebraska
Florida : There was an assumption that Florida had gone computerized, but it was fortunately proven false.Nebraska : They are computerized, and have been ever since 1995 when Pick 5 started.Oklahoma : Redemption for Jim Scroggins. He led the move for a computerized Missouri, but when he moved to OK, he bought the ball machines Missouri used to use. So in conclusion, Oklahoma uses balls.

Pick 3 Lottery
I live in Arkansas. We don't have the lottery. I haven't been playing the lottery. I was going to start playing the Tennesse and the Missouri lottery. I live 60 miles from Tennesse and 45 miles from Missouri.

All a matter of luck
Interesting that the Missouri half of the Powerball jackpot was a QP (guick pick) or whatever they call a computer pick in Missouri. The Wednesday NY Lottery jackpot was a QP. Which leads me to wonder why people pull out their hair trying to figure out what numbers to play. I usually play two picks with my numbers and all the rest are QP'S and generally I win with them, asthe QP'S.

Set your parameters, then search. Then look at July on or around this current date you will see how Vtracs will repeat fr

NY Lottery and Anonymity
This is from the Illinois lottery's website FAQ page: Can I avoid having my name released if I am a winner? To assure other players that prizes are paid to winners, the Lottery makes public the name, home city and amount won. We will not, however, release the addresses or telephone numbers of winners. Multi-million dollar winners must participate in a one-time news conference, but we'll always respect your wishes of privacy as much as possible. This is from the Missouri lott

I accidentally called Federal Taxes fees. My bad. :)
I wonder how many States actually post something this straight forward on their Lottery Websites? Taxes All Lottery winnings are subject to federal and state taxes. The Missouri Lottery is required to withhold 4% Missouri state tax on prizes of $600.01 or more, along with 24% federal tax for prizes of more than $5,000. Winners may owe additional taxes for the prize or they may receive a refund, depending on personal income. The Missouri Lottery Website does...

TEXAS: Dallas woman wins $202.6 million Powerball jackpot
Missouri would withhold state income tax on the jackpot and the winner would have to file a nonresident tax form in that state, but only the lottery winnings income since they have no other income from Missouri. In my state, Louisiana, I can claim a nonrefundable credit on my state income tax form if I pay income taxes to another state and was a resident of Louisiana for the entire year. This amount would be deducted from the Louisiana tax liability, lowering what I'd have to pay in the st
