Secrets of a lottery lawyer-Kurt Panouses interview
Actually having two games and letting the players pick may be worse right now.
As happens so often, I think this is another case of players somehow failing to understand that the point of a lottery is to raise revenue for the entity that runs the lottery.
Maybe MUSL could collect a modest fee from the UK for licensing the Powerball name, but the real money is from selling tickets. Their obvious goal is to gain players so that jackpots will grow more rapidly, because sales are better whe

Are you playing Mega Millions with the $5.00 per play?
In your mind, not mine. I don't consider the price of the ticket altering the jackpots.

Mega Millions and Powerball Race
The pool manager got back to me with an explanation, and I quote:
When both the Mega Millions and Powerball jackpots are both large enough , the decision on which game to play is based on which of the two games presents the best expected value given the current size of the jackpots. In this case, Powerball clearly presents the higher value.

The five biggest MM jackpots all exceeded a pre-tax 1.0 expectation value (about $605 million cash), with cash values of $877.8 million, $7

Are you playing Mega Millions with the $5.00 per play?
Thanks. The graphic demonstrates how awful the new format is. The marketing claim that it would produce bigger jackpots faster has been shown to be nonsense.

Record breaking CA fantasy 5 jackpot 6/20
Fantasy 5 hitting a record is wild those pari-mutuel jackpots don't usually balloon the way the big multistate games do. Anyone know if it rolled that high from a long no-winner streak, or was it a sales surge? Curious what actually pushed it up there.

Are you playing Mega Millions with the $5.00 per play?
MM increased $15M, up to $346M. PB is $172M. CDanaT before you tell us the MM is 'Measly' compare the MM and PB jackpots and consider taking a remedial math course. Good Luck in whatever you do play.
