It depends on the state foia and public access to records law. Remember not all state lotteries allow some form of anonymity and allow trusts. Perhaps part of the settlement was also to pay the legal fees. Would make sense in all this since now the law firm carries the account as the trust holder. They may temporarily regulate it .. which could be another lawsuit on her hands to get the funds settled for her use. i agree. i think the secrecy is to deter scammers. there are just too many out there these days. maybe the winner was a group. i'd imagine the trust has to disclose to the texas lottery who the beneficiaries are even if the public will never find out.
