9/26 Powerball statistical anomoly
The 9/26 Powerball drawing was for a set of high numbers: 25, 27, 31, 44, 54 PB 8. This set of numbers would be expected to produce statistically expected frequencies for various win categories. That is, there is nothing in these numbers that should produce statistical aberrations, especially since that are high numbers. In this drawing, the Match 4 + PB category had 256 winners which was way above the statistical expected frequency. We would expect something much closer to around 30 winn

Odds/Number Of Tickets
The whole point about consistently playing one or more tickets is to try and deture the luck factor...not that there is anyone who can honestly say that they don't need it for these kind of games. Point is, the larger lotteries are most often won with quick picks because the amount of different combinations sold via quick pick represents the largest portion/fraction of different combinations being played against the total amount of combinations which are possible in any given drawing. So

probability types
I may be wrong, but according to what you are writing, I think you are selling yourself short if you only look at the numbers comprising the last 16 games. But your hypothesis is correct - but only 33% of the time. You may as well just play games every third drawing. You and me look at the 'numbers' totally differently, and I'm absolutely not going to tell you your way is 'wrong', but I understand how my way works, maybe one of these days one of us - or both of us - will get lucky. Every

Pick 4 Math Help?
Well I don't play 0246 boxed daily. Like I said, in the end, the Daily Games are all about lucky timing. Whatever combo you are looking at WILL hit one day...the thing no one knows is when. You just have to hope its the day you play it. As to hot digits, as I mentioned earlier, that is IMHO just as tough a play, because combinations seldom are composed of all hot digits. If they were, everyone would have easier winners all the time. So to me, there is little difference. It's merely a choice w

Preferred lottery prediction methods
sorboni, You are really lucky, in 20 minutes you went from someone asking if buying numbers from a certain website really worked to someone who had won $1234.00 some days ago using that website. I'm surprised you didn't win $1234.56. Continued good luck to you. RJOh P.S. Both posts I referred to were in the Math forum.

a sorta stupid question for the math type
I wouldn't play 1, 13, 29, 45 and 47 if I were you. Not only did I point out what was cold by this method, and anybody could play this, many hundreds if not thousands already have. I say this because this is one of the easiest ways to look at the lottery. this is reminiscent of brian arthur's academically world famous santa fe bar problem : if a bar is most enjoyable when it's not packed, and people think it's not going to be packed, everybody shows up. then it's packed. if peopl

what does a prediction formula look like?
Using my MegaMillion data I set up my RNG program to use a target combination that was actual drawn and use all the previous drawings to try and predict it. At best I matched three within 5% of expected randomness but many test did worst because of the parameters I used, those parameters actually eliminated combinations that matched three. Combinations that matched four seldom came up. Until I added this test feature to my program I thought I was doing better than random expectation. I g

what % of repeating events beats ....
Hypersoniq You brought up a good question. While I don't have a good answer for your question. I have looked at repeating series of numbers throughout the history of match 5, lotto, and mega mill. I was specifically looking for digits that repeated 3 - 4 or 5 times. I found certain digits favored each other like example would be 04-05-09-15 may have came out seven times with other remaining digits. Say over a ten year period. Sometimes within months or weeks of each other and other times within

Quantum Physics
Quote from Sedertree's original post: Every time that I have won the lottery. Or at least one of those should have, could have, would have experiences. I had a pre-sense that it was the right thing to do at the moment. Of course those feelings don't always come to me. Perhaps the circumstances were not right for the possiblility of success. The closest I can come to describe the feeling. Is a brain-numbing thumping sensation inside my head accompanied by an elated sense of physical well-being. Li
