Artificial Intelligence
Good for you! Looking at the results and what can be is fun. Numbers are fun. You really got to love the challenge and that is part of the game, the entertainment. Not a bad hobby at all. DD

How do I prove my state lottery's CGNs are fixed?
Dear benmas: Option 4) play and win! :) The patterns in the numbers repeat themselves too often to be ignored. Tell you what... hand input the results of just one game of your choice from 5 years past into an excel sheet. What you will see are inexplicable patterns in the numbers. Clusters of the same numbers and pairs repeating themselves within short time spans. Even the most casual observer will come to the same conclusion, that statistically this shouldn't be happening. Therefore, ob

How To Win The Lottery According To Math thoughts ??
The strategies I use are only loosely math related, in that they require a lot of math (time consuming), but that math is very simple, not by any means anything advanced, a third grader should be able to handle it easily. It's primarily a matter of probability and tracking patterns. So there is still some guessing that goes into it, not like I hacked the lottery or anything. There would be no reason to void my ticket if I were to win a larger prize. All of that said, though, I find that

I believe that Play 3 Lottery can be won with a little math!
Nope, he wouldn't give me the 3 million numbers to play on a particular night or nights. It isn't public info...lol... His claim to fame was that he supposedly posted 300 numbers a while back, and a number hit. That was false to begin with, but even if it was true, it's not something I'd go braggin about, unless I publicly proved that it worked consistently . Then I'd enjoy my bragging rights. The guy is a joke. You have to admit it's good entertainment exposing the fake losers who have nothi

Odds/Number Of Tickets
Thoth Well, thats one way of looking at it and a spiel for probabilities can be made to sound good, however the fact reamins that there can only be one winning combination. So, when someone plays an increased number of tickets, they are also guaranteeing that they will have more losing tickets....there can only be one winner, everything else is a loser (we're talking a solid 6 for 6 here). No matter how many tickets you play in any drawing, every line of numbers is up against the sam

Pick-3 Box or Straight ??
Well, I've been playing the lottery for over 30 years, since I lived in Ohio. Started out playing Lotto, when you could get 2 lines for a buck. The most I ever won was $898 on that game getting 5 of 6. Hit a few P3 straights in Tx. Hit a few P4 boxes in Tx. It's very safe for me to say that my ROI is in the toilet. The only way I will ever be in the black is with a win in the neighborhood of $50,000 or so, before taxes. But, I love to play. And I love to play various games. Naturally, the 4 j

Can math and logic improve chances of winning a jackpot?
Jammy is a wind bag full of hot air. Looks like I hit a nerve when I talked about Catlin's article on Richard Lustig's book. Perhaps Jammy would like to give me a call and ask me about my false pretenses and my multiple profiles on LP? I read a couple of Catlin's articles; did you know he believes a craps shooter can set the dice to roll whatever outcome the want? It wasn't just dice that caught my eye, but how many times he quoted some of the same mathematicians Jimmy quotes. Be

Does Mathematical Innumeracy foster superstitions and support the belief in them?
What I meant in the second statement was you seem to get off by continuesly insisting that people who play the lottery using some sort of system suffer from a fallacy which is rooted in not having the nessary math skills or understanding. Those who do have the math skills then must suffer some sort of psychological disorder by trying to out perform the odds. If a person does come out ahead then they are fooling themselves thinking that they somehow had a possitive effect when it was a not

Backtesting and Simulating Lottery Systems
Jimbo Gary and I have not cooked up some sort of plan to team up on you, are you getting paranoid. I like Gary and love it when he he gives you a hard time but sorry there is no conspiracy at least not any that I am aware of. I think he is just doing a anti-jimbo imitation for our entertainment. I also would think that he done the time thing on purpose just to get you going, I think he is a little smarter then that. RL

Pick-3 Box or Straight ??
In whatever lottery I play (or just simulate) I always consider the ROI as the most important goal. In daily lotteries that's the only thing that makes them worth playing. In JP lotteries odds for hitting the Big One are so slender that, always hoping for JP, I pay more attention to maximizing ROI with lower level prizes. I see 3 reasons why looking at ROI can be important: 1. I use Pick 3 as an easier example. Assume I spent $500 for playing in a given period of time. It makes a difference f
