HELP! Macro to eliminate 5 match numbers
I look at lottery predictions as an attempt to forecast lottery drawing results before the actual drawing based on past results, statistics and anything else that one thinks will help. At LP predictions are done for entertainment and as a hobby and is not meant to be taken to the bank regardless of the seriousness of the predictors. Playing and discussing the lotteries is a form of entertainment to me. When some predictors post over 5000 combinations a day and are lucky to have even 1% of the

return for investment
Check the play slips or the game website. The payouts are usually 5% or less of the odds of winning. If you would normally spent a $1000 to get a certain win then the payout for it would be $50. You have to beat the odds by quite a bit to show a profit. Lotteries are for entertainment not for investments.

Mathematics and the Lottery
In my very humble opinion not math, not anything can beat the LOTTERY, anything that does NOT pay true odds is unbeatable, ever game is set up to pay at best 1/3, 1/4 of what you are risking to what the reward will be. In the end they get it all just like a casino, the lottery is a tax on the poor, when you bet you are tax and when win you are taxed again. As a started this this is my opinion, it was derived from 20+ years in the gaming business and even longer if you count on both sides of the

Pick-3 Box or Straight ??
The Nm games have a ton of repeats 502 today lately so as a result it's good to bet repeat digits. Its all about being on top of the game. If anyone doesn't have any confidence in their abilities at this then they may consider another form of entertainment . I see many naysayers on this site that fall into a funk and only log on to pour on the sour grapes which is a complete waste of time.

Does Mathematical Innumeracy foster superstitions and support the belief in them?
Interesting somethig like the NBA draft would be brough up in a thread trying to refute superstition. Sports, gambling, and entertainment are full of superstition.

There is no Math when it come to winning.
I liked the structure in your post Ricky. I find much truth to it; and truth to the RNG draws the officials use to conduct most games also. I've commented on the RNG stuff b4, and I'm sure they know that players like us are trying to use math to crack the code. I find it entertaining challenging to study the stats of math for the games I play. But without knowing what, how and when the officials conduct the draws, for the Public winning numbers, it remains difficult. As someone earlier said in t

Pick-3 Box or Straight ??
Bobby623 I won a small JP back when I first got involved in the lottery so I will never go in the hole so to say but the difference for me is that while I play for entertainment I don't consider myself a gambler. I hate to loose a dollar. The entertainment value is similar to hunting for buried treasure. I pour over the data, look at he maps, build weird tools etc.. and try to decide where to dig next. I have managed to come out on top for many years not counting the JP win due to

Math Geniuses, Help!! "SLAG" Odd/Even Analysis - Chart I
Guessing like an orangutan, or just doing a Quick Pick (same thing), is better than putting credence in some snip amamie lottery system claiming some meaning out of random fluctuations. Since you asked, what I would do (and, understand, lotteries are purely for entertainment) is create plays with completely random unique random numbers on each play. This can be easily done by someone with fairly basic programming skills. Why do this? Well, statistically, this has about the same Expected Value as
