How lucky have you been with scratch offs?
I think a lot of us may have fallen into that trap more than once. I like to call it reinvesting. $20 - $100 win I use to bounce around, ie buy other tickets from other slots. $500 I spend a chunk on something I want and *reinvest* a portion into more tickets. $1,000 that's a larger amount with more options. Still, some goes right back in. All these tickets are is entertainment. The shortest lived entertainment on the planet probably but it's a game with a chance to win something

Which scratchers do you play?
I look and see which scratch-off is returning the highest and play that.I think the biggest mistake people make in playing is playing games where the top prizes are already claimed. The 2nd biggest mistake is playing multiple low-denomination tickets. Return is almost always higher on a single high-denomination ticket. There are very few scratch-offs under $5 that pay over 70% return and there are even a few $1 scratchoffs that are paying under 50%. My advice is based on Texas scratchoffs and

Texas scratch-off with profit potential
Just wanted to add that if you are looking to play a game that might be more readily available, #617 Winter Treasures is running rich according the the data released Dec 24th. (meaning that a greater than expected number of losing tickets have already been scratched leaving a greater than expected number of winners)The prize amounts that are running rich are the top prize of $500k (of 3, 2 remain) as well as the $2500 and $1000 prizes. I estimate that odds including break-even are 1 in 2.96

My Idea for a New Scratch Game
Todd,I've always wondered why lotteries make some of the scratch-offs too complicated for many people to understand how to play or to recognize a winning ticket. I'm not much of a scratch-off player, but there are certain scratch-offs in my state that I will not play because they are far too much trouble to the point of being annoying to play. I think a simple win/lose scratch-off would be a good idea for a basic ticket, but I also know people who truly enjoy the more complicated varieties of sc

Florida Scratch Offs - Post Pictures if posible
Woodro, hi I ve been finding that game somewhat hard to find lately but usually play at least 5 when I come across them, mostly at mom and pop places and out of the way gas stations (I know 5 isn t a lot for some folks around here but honestly with the $20+ tickets I don t normally draw/pull more than 5 or so at a shot). I have done pretty decently on it though, winning a $500 last fall, and just two weekends ago got a $100 star and another decent win ($30 if I recall) on a 5 ticket pull. This p

Am I normal?
I've quit scratch offs altogether....odds suck.... I think the thought pattern goes, if I have a line in the water I might catch a fish. problem is, if the fish aren't there you're wasting your time and bait($).... Draw games give me more entertainment,, which is what lottery should be.

CA Lottery - California Love - CA Lottery Scratchers
All gambling is a waste of cash. Fantasy 5 and Supper Lotto are just as much of a waste. It's disposable income. I spent 4 hours on Saturday at the Palazzo playing $100 Baccarat and just like scratchers, it was fun and the money is just waste money anyway. Whether it's a person losing $20 or $1,000 it is entertainment. That's how you play these games. It's money you expect to lose. Buying a glass of Cakebread Chardonnay at Pelican Hill is $25 but it's worth it because it's fun. Why would some

Scratchers and lottery games in general are not a good bet. There is the opportunity to win a life altering/enchancing jackpot, but its structured to provide a very reliable income to the state's education funds. Vegas casino games put you through bankroll swings as your money disappears over time as you play, there is the entertainment factor there. For the most part it does not offer a life-changing jackpot except for those progressive slot machines or the dollar side bets you see on table

I was a die hardscratcher player that played $100 at a time once or twice a week for the past few years and the outcome did not turn out to be pretty. The motive to play Scratchers may have come since the economy has put a good amount of people in a horrible situation where risks are necessary to get out of it (the most common people want early retirement). Vegas casinos plays out more like entertainment since its high paybacks and close to 50/50 chance of winning put you through a roller

I hope they come out with the 7's game (scratch down on a line) for the $10 as shown in the prototypes, the other games they've shown are redundant to what is currently out. I also saw a SuperLotto Plus and multiplier type as well. For Wheel of Fortune, it will be a second chance drawing where you either win an entry to audition for the game show or a cash prize. I think that is about it. The CALottery live events will follow the Wheel Mobile (where they hold the premature audition rounds).
