Ticket Checkers
I will use them occasionally to double-check a ticket. They are nice to have, especially in light of the expos on Lottery Clerk fraud they keep showing on Dateline NBC. But I myself would never run into that situation they pose in the sting operations. I always know what the value of my ticket is before cashing it in. And the calottery.com replay entry is a good double check in addition to your own. I also don't play crossword/bingo type games because they take too long to determine if you ar

Florida Scratch Offs - Post Pictures if posible
Yes, that's something that we know happens but obviously the general public and the lottery won't go publicizing that type of procedure. Most people don't do as much research as people who use the forums on the lottery's operations. Look at the $3 Bankroll Bingo game. It is around 43% sold, yet still has 7/8 top prizes remaining or 12.5% of top prizes remaining...

Impressive results. Dat hustle. I never imagined it was possible to do that well at Dave and Busters. I'm losing interest on scratchoffs again. If the final SM/2MJ prize isn't found, then perhaps with the current state of their operations, it isn't worth chasing any of these scarce games. Only time with tell soon enough. I started venturing into the stock market. Prices seem very high on alot of stocks, and wth Trump's inauguration coming...I think I'll remain a spectator for a whil

Oklahoma Scratch-Off restrictions
Why Oklahoma scratch-offs only goes to $5 for $40,000.00 this is the reply and the OLC wonders why sales are down. We have a legislative restriction that mandates 35 cents of every dollar sold goes to our Oklahoma Education beneficiary. That restriction limits the amount of money we have left for operations and prizes. We could increase the payout of our $5 games but in doing so, we would reduce the amount of money allocated to smaller prizes within the game thus reducing the number of winn

CA Lottery - California Love - CA Lottery Scratchers
Just a FYI with Bitcoin-based online dice games. Canada recently announced new regulations regarding Bitcoin use. As a result, Canadian online Bitcoin dice sites are shutting down operations as they will not be in compliance with the new laws. While the shutdown may be temporary, they are suggesting customers to withdraw all their coins. I wouldn't be surprised if other countries move forward with similar regulations. Three months ago the IRS announced Bitcoin will be treated as property. In

Post your scratch ticket results
I agree. I now see Scratch offs as nothing but a paper version of the Slot machines. You can pull and pull but in the end, you end up a loser because the few times the bars lines up doesn't pay for the times they don't. There's nothing there for the player. I was at AC, NJ a week ago and feel sad for the hotel workers out there. In a few months or years, they surely will lose their jobs. There's fewer people playing the slots and fewer going home with a win. Surely their margins will not be e

I honestly didn't think it was possible that a single number match $100k winner would still be out there. It is ironic because a few days before I found it, I mentioned I found some books in the 733/734 range I was going to buy that weekend. Then Gators says something along the lines of Good luck, there's still a $100k prize out there . I still feel truly blessed. I was able to pay off all my student loans, bought a new car, paid for a sibling's tuition for two semesters, bought mom a gigantic T

Avoiding Scams with Store Employees
That's very unfortunate, sorry to hear that happened to you. In FL this kind of chicanery is commonplace enough to yield multiple retailers/employees getting caught by the FL Lottery sting operations, which I'd imagine accounts for only a very small subset of the general malfeasance that occurs at many of these retailers. You just never know. The ones who do it right will have the FL Lottery screen/display right out front and turned toward the customer, so they can clearly see each winning t

understanding odds of winning?
As a machinist i am familiar with the printing process as i have made parts for the machines and seen the operations of them first hand. lottery scratch off books all have a number usually in the lower right hand corner of the ticket depending on the size of the book say a 1.00 dollar book has 50 tickets then the tickets will be numbered 1 through 50 And every book is the same. Inside the play area under the latex is another number this number is the code they enter or scan that clarifie

NYS lotto Scratch off's (DIRTY SECRET) information that is not revealed to the public-SCAM OR NOT?
I don't think people want to think too much about this, otherwise they'd be mourning the loss of all that money they spent in vain. But, like you, I've given it quite a bit of thought and come to the conclusion that if it's meant to be (winning, that is) then it's going to happen despite these elusive odds. Now I am wondering about something else, since you raised the issue of retailers and their opened books of tickets. When a retailer first accepts the books of tickets, does he have the
