The new Christmas $30 game has 5 top prizes of $1,000,000. $30 games always had $3MM top prizes. But the latest non holiday $30 card has 10 top prizes of $1.5MM. Odds of winning $1MM are 1:720,000 Compare that to the new non holiday $30 Scratcher Cash Spectacular. That has odds of 1:480:000 of winning $1.5MM - This is the best odds for a top prize for PA. Update On game 1604 ($500K Cash Blowout) my estimate of 217 Pools was close, as actual starting Pools are 220.71, so total tickets are 26,485,200 and thus odds are 1/4.077 (4.1) Since it's so close (+1.7%) I don't plan to update/remake the odds table....for any given prize level just use my scenario and multiply by 1.7%...e..g. odds for a $1,000 win goes from 1/590 to 1/600 (590 x 1.017). Of course the FL Lotto will post the odds Monday too.

Hi gatorsrok, you're welcome and indeed if I'm estimating the ticket count correctly then yeah the $500K odds aren't that great - heck iirc the $30 FTM from a few years back had similar odds for a $1M and was a $30 ticket. indeed if the $200 prize level was rolled in the $500K line the odds go to 1/94,000 or so. i think with this structure book buyers will not have to cringe as much fearing a $400 return I plan to actualize the odds when the rule is issued tomorrow, so please stay tu

You are 100% correct. Unfortunately when the odds get really good the tickets are often hard to find. States play games like this too when they just phase out tickets when the odds get really good. That being said I like to keep my eye out for the good ones, especially if I'm traveling and am passing through smaller towns/gas stations.

Can't find a way to be certain, but looking at the jackpot chances, the recent $30 scratchers appear to have a ticket count between 4.8 and 5.4 million. Odds of a $3 million win on this one is listed as 1 in 1.6 million, which I'm assuming means a ticket run of 4.8 million. Another relatively recent $30 scratcher with 5 top prizes shows odds of 1 in 960 thousand, which also adds up to a ticket run of 4.8 million.

Cape - thanks for posting this. I was excited for a game with a lower top prize if the odds were better. Looks like they are making $1000 and $5000 prizes easier to win. But I'm disappointed at the 1:260k odds for the $500k prize. I was really hoping for something closer to 1:100,000 or better. I would have sacrificed the $200 prize tier for that.

Hi Ms Bee18, it's that exactly, better odds for middle level prizes, plus $200 win. Also, if my scenario is correct, the FL is ordering a significantly fewer number of tickets for this one. Also, PSA, the book total in my scenario should be 868,000...I must have fat-fingered a 50 vs a 30. But that doesn't impact the odds table, since the ticket count is mechanized against the estimated number of pools being ordered, with 120,000 tickets per pool. Hi Brock, great looking burst for $500 on the new $30 game! At 1/1,200 for seeing a ticket with a single burst they are more rare than on might think. The $500 Diamond win all is about half the odds, at 1/600 or so. You'd think they bring the two odds closer as to make for more bursts, but either way $500 is a great win. Hope to see you score many more!!
