13 State Employees to Share $224 Million Powerball Lottery Jackpot
There are lots of unresolved anger issues here against the lottery. Maybe someone was abused by the lottery as a child? Actually, two or three jackpot hits a year can make a tremendous different in revenue. Also important - even more so - is how the jackpots occured (lots of little ones or a couple of big ones?). Last year Powerball slipped under $2 billion in sales. This year, after the change, they will approach $3 billion in sales. People vote with their dollars. One can argue that

What does a Winning formula require?
How about my formula? https://www.lotterypost.com/thread/129944.htm Quote: Originally posted by NewClub on March 23, 2006 That reminds me of the idea to play all 146,107,962 combinations some one mentioned before. It has been proposed a 4000 terminal hours needed for that purpose. So for a 1000 member pool, each one would spend 4 hours and buy 146,108 tickets. Say the previous JP is 200m. If no one share the JP, then each member makes $150,000, double the money. If JP is shared

Florida Fantasy 5's New EZMATCH
Quote: Originally posted by duckman on March 20, 2006 Although the information on this game says the ez-match numbers are selected by the terminal this does not mean they are random numbers and prize amounts. If it was, then each prize amount would have the same odds of ocurring. If it was completely a random event then each prize amount should have an equal chance of coming up. I am thinking this is less about actual random numbers matching and more about having a set algorothm where in a pr

$200,000 N.M. Powerball lottery ticket expires
A $200,000 winning Powerball lottery ticket sold in New Mexico expired today, without anyone stepping forward to rightfully claim the prize. That is not to say that the New Mexico Lottery did not hear from several people claiming to be holding the winning ticket. The calls received by lottery headquarters included one person who said she was on her way. New Mexico Lottery officials explained that this type of fraudulent claim is the key reason that most U.S. lotteries won't confirm that

I have started tinkering with Lotto Architect. http://www.lottoarchitect.com/ Interesting program. You build you own lottery system based on the entire number combinatin pool, wheels, stats, filters, hot cold due numbers ect.. It has a steep learning curve and is pretty complex, but I think I'm starting to get the hang of it. It crashed a few times on me and I lost all my wo

jackpot lottery pool
I voted yes. I've been in many pools over the years. I ran an office pool for several months before I retired. The way I see it, I can buy 10 tickets playing alone, or join with a few others and buy 100 or 200 or more tickets. That many more chances to win something, despite the angst that could develope afterwards, whether it be family members or coworkers. But the problem for me is that while some pools do make more than they lose, almost all rely on quick picks, which, in my humble opin

Are you a believer in Lottery systems
I have purchased several programs, none of which has provided consistent results. I keep detailed records and have concluded that playing combinations suggested by several of programs is a total waste of money. However, there is positive side. Knowing that certain systems will almost always be completely wrong, I use the suggestions to develop sequences for wheel play. Trying to determine which numbers to put in a wheel has always been difficult for me, but using the 'loser' suggestions has been

Kentucky couple hopes to finish house with lottery winnings
A Kentucky couple who bought five Powerball tickets after celebrating their 12th wedding anniversary got a surprise gift the next day. Dwight and Jeanie Walton of Irvine found out they won $667,142 for matching five numbers but not the Powerball on one ticket during Saturday night's drawing. Dwight Walton, a 35-year-old master electrician, said he realized Sunday morning he was holding a winning ticket. By the time I got to the fifth one, I had busted through the front door and was scr
