US Powerball multi-state lottery game expanding to the UK
The price increase for MM started in April last year. One year later, no billion dollar jackpot or fast growth like they claimed.
I honestly think Powerball will hurt their sales if they go through with this idea. I remember last year, multiple states reported a decline in Powerball ticket sales as well.
It will be interesting to see what happens.

Colorado bill would ban credit card lottery ticket purchases and online sales
I believe they should continue online sales, but bank ach or debit card, not credit cards. That way, disabled or home bound can purchase if they want. I don't get the statement about about lottery losing money. There always trying to create new games to get ppl to play/buy (aka get addicted imo). If they lost money, what would they lose out on? Schools supposed to get part of it but I was told if examples a school budget is $30000 for the year and lottery spending give them $20000, that 20g is no

Pennsylvania: 3/1 - 3/31/2026
Since it is a new game, the Millionaire for Life sales report for 2026, is not on there yet. However, if you go to palottery dot gov. Scroll towards the bottom, where it says Additional Resources . Click on that. That will take you to another page where you will find the section that says, About US and News . In that section it will say, Annual Sales and Benefits Reports . From there you will find the past annual reports. 2026 is not up yet.
I hope this helps.

Indiana legislature rejects bill for online lottery ticket sales
As a resident of Indiana and a player of the Hoosier Lottery, I believe not offering online lottery ticket sales through the app is actually a good decision. Many of us struggle with gambling habits or tendencies, even if we do not always recognize them in ourselves or we find ways to justify our behavior.
This is simply my personal opinion opinions are not facts to take to the bank. However, limiting online access may help encourage more mindful and intentional play rather than impulsive pu

Except FF5's awarded jackpot's collapsed immediately after the addition of the midday drawing
In that case maybe it's a mystery. When PB went to 3 drawings sales for Wednesday and Saturday went down a bit but the Monday sales more than make up for the loss. I suppose the extra ticket might be a reason some drop out altogether, but I'd think still playing twice a week would be the popular choice.
Something I feel very sure of is that all lotteries care about losing customers, at least to

Answer Me This...
A couple of years ago, The Florida Lottery added a midday drawing ...
these days the midday drawing offers ...
What happened to jackpots immediately after they added the midday drawings? You seem to be telling us what the jackpots were before the change and what the jackpots are a couple of years later. Lottery sales for games that are exactly the same as they were a few years ago are also down. Declining sales is why MM costs $5 now, and likely why FL added midday drawings.
It's als

Virginia Lottery Director Khalid R. Jones appointed as Mega Millions Lead Director
Hopefully he's intelligent enough to decrease the game price
Unlike a lot of people here he's intelligent enough to know that the lottery's only marketing concern is maximizing revenue, and the $5 tickets are probably doing that.
I'm pretty certain they wouldn't be changing leadership if they were happy with the current set of changes
Did you read the story? The lead directors serve terms of 1 year, and they're usually also holding the job of lead director for a state lottery. The

Mega Millions and Powerball Race
There has been considerable criticism of Mega Millions for the slow growth of its jackpot, with many attributing the issue to the ticket price increase. However, the reverse may be true: the price hike could have been a response to slowing sales rather than the cause of them.
Powerball is facing a similar trend. The current jackpot of $681 million was reached after 34 consecutive rollovers. In comparison, the record jackpot after 34 rolls is $1,565 million more than double the current amou

The Mega Millions jackpot has increased by $65 million to $965 million after 39 consecutive rolls and is the largest Mega Millions jackpot since December 2024. This is largest jackpot increase since the launch of the new format. There is a 6.2% chance the jackpot will be won in the November 14 draw with projected sales of $94.9 million.
