I think they're underestimating the sales tonight and they're going to be closer to matching saturdays sales of 230
It looks like you nailed it after all, and for the first time in a long time sales for a Monday weren't significantly smaller than for the previous Saturday. The final jackpot is reported as $1.201 billion, which is very close to $230 million in sales.
Not that it wasn't already obvious that 1.3 billion was conservative for Wednesday, but since we're now starting about $10

It looks as if the $5.00 MM ticket is doing poorly.
Sales are lower. But they are making more money. Do to the price increase.
Just one data point, but the first 3 drawings for 400+ had sales of $105 million compared to $117 million for the first 3 drawings for 400 the last time it got there before the price increase. That's just hair under 90%. Looking at PB sales for 3 drawings at 400+ at roughly the same times the more recent run had sales of 88% of the previous sales.
Again, that's a limited set of data but it looks like lower MM sal

I don't look at the worksheets enough to notice usually but they increased the annuity and the estimated sales but the cash is still listed the same as before at $498. Any idea why?
I don't know for a fact what management thinks, but the worksheet still shows the estimated, and advertised, and the cash value is the cash (prize) that would be needed to buy the annuity if the annuity was being bought. That it also shows the expected sales and he annuity that could be bought with all the cash

Mega Millions and Powerball Race
I don't think it's because of the third drawing in a week. People tend to buy lottery tickets on a per-week basis, not a per-drawing basis.
I suspect that many people who were buying multiple tickets for the Wednesday and Saturday drawings stuck with the same weekly expenditure or maybe added one more ticket. A lot of other players were probably the ones that have to have their chance, even if it's only one ticket, so that's a lot of people that started spending 50% more.
Whatever the

Any way to see ticket sales for MM and PB for each drawing?

Are you playing Mega Millions with the $5.00 per play?
I'm sure the jackpot frenzy will adjust it a bit but it will be interesting to see how it plays out!
I'm pretty sure that even the people at PB aren't all that sure exactly how things could go. Right now they're forecasting a $100 million increase, but since last night finished at 1.03 billion that means their first estimate for Monday is really 1.13. Those Friday worksheets are created about a day and a half before the drawing, but if they ever announced the next jackpot with different num

Mega Millions and Powerball Race
It appears many do not understand the jackpot has only been growing by the minimum $10 million per draw in order for sales to fully support the jackpot.
For a place that's all about the lottery a lot of people here don't seem to know much about how things work.
The jackpot for the Friday, August 1 draw will probably be around $140 million and will be fully supported by sales (or very close at least).
It will be $140, and the supported jackpot is $139,672,438 (I love how the estimat

The Florida Millionaire Raffle is back!
Wanted to update/correct my previous figures, as for some reason I thought there were only three interim prize periods, and there are actually four. Bottom line, 640,900 tickets need to be sold to fund all prizes to be awarded in the Raffle (interim prizes and Grand Prizes.) The duration of the raffle is 122 days, so sales need to average 5,245 tix a day. Based on the Lottery's figure of 169,906 tix sold as of 4/17 , sales are averaging 3,540 tix/day so far. Hard to say if sales will pick up or

Colorado Lottery approves credit card purchases and online ticket sales
Skeptical legislators threaten to undo rule changes
By Kate Northrop
Colorado lottery players will soon be able to purchase lottery tickets online and pay for tickets using credit cards after the Colorado Lottery approved rule changes in a commission meeting this week.
On Wednesday, the Colorado Lottery approved rule changes that will allow players to purchase lottery tickets online and use a credit card despite some state legislators expressing concern.
Retailer advocates also s

Are you playing Mega Millions with the $5.00 per play?
They didn't come up short. They just didn't get to skim the full 50% they normally would have. Total sales for the run were a hair over $117 million. Of the $58.5 million that goes to prizes just over 44.7% is for lower tier prizes, so they'd need about $26.2 million for the smaller prizes. Add in the cash value of $41.9 million and the total prize payout is about $68.1 million. That leaves them $48.9 million instead of the $58.5 million target.
Of course the lottery is playing the long game
