Sales are lower. But they are making more money. Do to the price increase. Just one data point, but the first 3 drawings for 400+ had sales of $105 million compared to $117 million for the first 3 drawings for 400 the last time it got there before the price increase. That's just hair under 90%. Looking at PB sales for 3 drawings at 400+ at roughly the same times the more recent run had sales of 88% of the previous sales. The Florida Lottery did their weekly sales update of 330394 at end-of-sales for yesterday. Since I got my ticket at beginning of sales, it looks like total sales on Thursday were less than 2,000.

Bought ticket 3284xx around 10:00 this morning. So after 109 days of sales (I didn't include today, as I bought my ticket about an hour after Raffle sales came online) the daily sales average is around 3013. That extrapolates to a potential of 367,000 in total sales.

Wanted to update/correct my previous figures, as for some reason I thought there were only three interim prize periods, and there are actually four. Bottom line, 640,900 tickets need to be sold to fund all prizes to be awarded in the Raffle (interim prizes and Grand Prizes.) The duration of the raffle is 122 days, so sales need to average 5,245 tix a day. Based on the Lottery's figure of 169,906 tix sold as of 4/17 , sales are averaging 3,540 tix/day so far. So a slow climb to a billion is arguably the game working as designed, not underperforming. Not really design, but I think MM was hoping that ticket sales wouldn't have dropped as much as they did. They're making more money on each drawing for a given jackpot, but it has now been over 18 months since their last jackpot over $1 billion. Florida Lottery's weekly sales update posted today is 347335. Subtracting last week's update number of 330394 gives 16941 tickets sold in the past week. That averages only 2420 sold per day for the week. After a total of 117 sales days so far, that averages to 2969 sold per day. There are only five sales days left. They might not even hit 400,000.

Seventy-five days into Raffle sales, the average sold per day is 3308. Per Florida Lottery, the Raffle sales weekly update is 190300 as of 4-24. We're 55 days in, so average daily sales are at 3460 per day, slightly under last week's 3540 average. So 3460 times 122 (total days of sales in the raffle) would equal 422,120 tickets sold. 640900 Tickets need to be sold just to fund all of the prizes.
