Two workers in lottery pool sue over $118 million ticket
Jose Franco and Marco Medina were regular participants in a lottery pool with co-workers at the bakery for about a year, according to the suit. I see nothing wrong with occasionally pooling when the jackpots are huge, but this is exactly what happens when pools are played every week and some players are in some drawings and out others. The difference in this story is the previous winnings were part of the pool and if a share of the winnings belonged to these two, they have an excellent law

Six $1M Powerball tickets claimed by one Arizona winner
Some 5 ball formula/strategy where the only unknown is the powerball number and that's given that it is pulled from its own pool of numbers.

48 Philly transit workers win $172M Powerball jackpot
I agree 100% Every winner's story is different. The latest means by which a pool or individual won doesn't dictate that's the way to win every time. It's like those pool advocates. If you support participating in lottery pools, it's your funeral, but it like every other strategy could never guarantee a win.

48 Philly transit workers win $172M Powerball jackpot
I'd rather play by myself and win than play in a pool and win (and have to share with a bunch of people).

Algorithms for number selection?
Thats why I love this place so much. If combined with what Im working on for Splinter trying to find the actual decades of numbers to be drawn the pool would be much easier to manage and perhaps much more focused. We all hit things at different angles and just miss but some day we will collectively pool all of it into a winner. keep the up the great work that is an excellent approach.

Which odds are better?
There is no pool of 30% of lottery combinations that show a 70% probability of occuring. That's because of the nature of the game, where each ball has equal chances, and unless you can prove that there are extra of certain balls, certain balls are missing, or there is some non-random chacterisitic of the drawing process, then all of the combinations must have the same probability. I don't know what pool of numbers you're talking about that only contain 30% of the combinations, but occur
