I don't like 14 or 26 in either pool of numbers. They are my least favorite #s.

Lower prizes Wheels....
Pumpi76,
No, I don't think you can make money gearing yourself towards lower-tier prizes.
For example, in a 5/39 game your odds of winning 3 of 5 is 103 : 1. So you must have a 3 of 5 win on average every 10 picks you play just to break even with a hypothetical $10 payout.
If you look at the Top Predictors page for Pick 5 you will see that nobody comes even close to a 10% hit percentage regardless if they use wheels or not and regardless of the pick 5 matrix they're playing.
IMHO,

13 State Employees to Share $224 Million Powerball Lottery Jackpot
Nobody in my group is either, thank goodness. We all agreed ahead of time that we'd split everything evenly. We have won a couple of small prizes, which we simply put towards the next payment in the pool. I think my pool is a bargain. For $4/payday(every other Friday), we each get 3 chances at both Powerball and Lotto for 4 drawings, with winnings to be split 6 ways. If another person joins, we'll simply add another ticket to the mix.

13 State Employees to Share $224 Million Powerball Lottery Jackpot
I just look at it this way..... I am not a greedy person and as I said before my agreement is AIR TIGHT and CLEAR of the rules and each players oppertunities and what they must to to be a part of the CASH. Before I started my pool I was spending 40.00 a draw and with the pool we get 30 numbers compared to 40.00 and only 5.00 out of my pocket still getting the extra 10 numbers I am stil saving over 50% of what I was spending and As back to I am not greedy in any way. The people that I play with o

Mega Millions lottery jackpot increased to $162 million
Only Texas has the megaplier. All of the prizes except for the jackpot are handled by the individual states. California pays everything on a parimutuel basis, so what the winners get depends on how much money is in California's prize pool and how many people win. If the money in the prize pool for second place is 350 grand and 7 people happen to hit it then they'd each get 50 grand. If there isn't a second place winner for a few draws and then one ticket wins second place that person gets it all

Playing lottery alone?
I partly agree with you but I guess I brought it up here since they mentioned it during the interview. Had it been a private thing among friends, like going out to Happy Hour after work, I probably wouldn't have given it a second thought, although I'd still resent being left out if I wanted to join and pay my share. In a way, maybe it's a good thing I haven't worked for a place that has a pool, since I definitely would not get over it if they won a huge amount!! (I'm admitting it) For 21 year

Playing lottery alone?
Quote: Originally posted by pamelab on April 1, 2006 I had a bad experience with a group of women,we all would sit together and workout numbers, i'd tell them what numbers was good, they'd disagree or would'nt play, i would hit (pick 3) alot so they ended up saying i was giving them the bad numbers and i was keeping the good numbers. If i knew the number that was going to come out, i think i'd put more on the number than .50 or 1.00. Also when I stop sitting with the group and sitting at another
