Your State Now Having Both Powerball And Mega Millions
The problem with both Powerball and MM is that they both draw moneyfrom the states' games--for those states that have jackpot games--asthe multi state games tend to develop higher jackpots. Less of thismoney stays within the state to support the programs funded by statelotterie

All Things Considered, Which Is The Better Game - PB or MM?
Itseems that Powerball grows faster and I like the fact that you can payan extra buck and get a bigger payout for all but the Jackpot plays.

Hits against combo in Excel
Someone asked about making this a little more flexible, so I made a few changes to show the simpler way. I'd say print out both versions so you can compare side-by-side. I made the test draw numbers different. It's just easier to see which variable is doing what, that way. I bolded the changes. Now you only change the numbers at the top. As you can see, the more tricks you want it to do, the more code you're going to wind up with.

Make sure they are 1 line before you run it.

Mega Millions and Powerball Race
Good luck when that time comes
If I was to ever manage a pool, I would take contributions even when we are not playing, that way when it's time to play, we have a bigger war chest and members don't feel the strain of contributing.
I know that would be a logistical nightmare keeping track of all the contributions.
I doubt I would want to manage that unless it's a very small pool of say 10 friends.

ideal lottery pool size
I enjoy belonging to a pool since it gives me far more chances to win the lottery than I ever could get playing on my own. I never want to organize one though. I do not want the responsibility nor do I want to hunt people down for payments.
The one thing I really like about the one I currently belong to is the fact I do not have to worry about how big it gets since I can buy multiple shares. This way I can control how much I am trying to win.
It seems an ideal way to organize a pool.

ideal lottery pool size
Right now am in this weird pool.
We never seem to agree what to buy, when to buy, how to buy and how, if we win the jackpot, we are going to split the winnings.
And it's just me in the pool.
Can you imagine if it's more people than that

Holiday Raffle!
While I was living in New York, I couldn't wait for The PA Millionaire Raffle to be announced in October. It was about an hour's drive over to PA for me to buzz across I-84 and buy them. For multiple years I made many trips to PA. I organized a pool and the pool bought quite a few of them. None of the tickets I bought ever won a dime.
On one trip to PA, I bought a bunch and decided to sell them to people I knew. I sold one of the tickets to my brother. (I held them in my hand like a fan , a

If you ever run a pool you make copies of the tickets and hand out the copies to the participants before the drawing. That way it avoids any problems if someone wins with a ticket that they bought for themselves outside of the pool.

One Georgia ticket wins $983 million Mega Millions jackpot
California being allowed to make lower tier prizes parimutuel is a part of the official PB rules that all states follow. How sales revenue is apportioned to the various prize levels, and therefore the total amount of each prize pool is the same percentage for all members of the game, and unrelated to how that prize pool is used to pay winners.
How or if winners' identities are publicized is based on state law or lottery rules, and generally isn't part of the PB rules. Strangely, the official
