Losing friendship over not joining a lottery pool. .thoughts anyone?
I think that's wrong. I once asked a new employee if he wanted to join the pool I'm running and he said he wasn't interested, and that was the end of it. I did tell him if he changes his mind just let me know, and he said ok. It's a matter of personal choice as far as I'm concerned and if someone doesn't want to be in, that's up to them. I have been running a pool for around 10 years and I only charge $4/payday(every two weeks) and I buy a mix of MegaMillions, Powerball, and Lotto tickets

RL's T-Lex program download, free software
Hi RL and guys, I could text it for you because there is a new lottery in Australia called Set for Life - 8 numbers from a pool of 37 having 2BB from their same pool. I gather it looks like a keno game and it is a daily one. It is great you are always putting a lot of effort for the good you do :-) Gambler667

NY man claims friend broke deal to split lottery prize, files lawsuit
Lottery pool rules apply here. If you play with one or more other players then get it in writing. You are so right MaximumMillions these cases clog up our courts. Pool players say to themselves, We trust each other and this money will not change us.

Your stars finally align and you win, but...
If both contributed money towards the ticket that won, then yes I would voluntarily split the winnings 50/50. If not, then no. Why would I? Why would anyone? If he didn't contribute to the pool that won, then he had already quit the pool. He must have already decided to end the relationship and was making a clean sweep of things. He would not be entitled to anything. However, if married and he just left, it wouldn't matter if he contributed or not, he would still legally be entitled to half.

When a winning ticket gets destroyed
Which raises a few questions LM: What is the purpose of everyone in a lottery Pool getting a copy of their tickets? What If the person holding the Original ticket decides to claim the jackpot for his/herself- would the LC rule that foul play is afoot based on the Copies that the other pool players present as proof of their right to claim a portion of the jackpot? If the answer is Yes, why would the LC not view the same copies as being legit in the event * Teddi's scenarios...a Tornado ,fir

Group Size Limit...
Let's do a comparative study. The city I live in has a population of just over 90,000 and I see people playing the lottery all the time. If we can consider them to be one large pool, we see that it's a pool that doesn't win big. I say this because MA lottery publishes on its website who won big ($100,000 and up) and where the big prizes were sold/bought. Good luck

If you not in a lottery Pool at present. .
noise-gate, All gambling should be a solo endeavor. zephbe, Poke around some of the threads here at LP about people who play in pools buying their own tickets on the side. The results aren't always nice. even if you win it might take years to get paid. Same goes for a pool winning and a former or unpaid up pool member wanting in on the jackpot.

How is this not a massive fraud by the Florida Lottery?
The only reason the lottery page is back to its original claim on the remaining prizes page is because I have filed half a dozen complaints with various agencies and those agencies are going back to the lottery to investigate. It was not a glitch or a typo. I wonder why you are so eager to assume that everything is above board and people simply have a math impairment. Yes, people are stupid and don't do the math but that is not the point of my post. This particular lottery campaign syphoned off

1 000 000$ a Year For Life Scratcher 1 big win left after 6 years
No, I wouldn't drop $30 on a 6 year old contest after my recent experience with the Florida Lottery. They are advertising a new scratch off that launched on 2/24/15 that was launched advertising 4-10 million dollar winning tickets and 46-1million dollar tickets. However, after the initial launch and lots of publicity, they have now altered the website of remaining prizes to show 2 out of 3 (not the original 4) 10 million dollar prizes and 30 out of 25 remaining prizes (not the original 46) as re
