RL, make this a GROUP effort and stop putting so much pressure on yourself! If something is costing you money, then you need to come to the pool members and ask that we share the cost. Not only are we obligated, but we will be happy to do it. About the only thing you need to do is, use your expertise of the DM program that you created to facilitate a winning formula with pool members input. Ultimately, the final decision on what numbers to play rests with you, and you alone. I don't know abou

$337 million Powerball jackpot ticket sold at gas station in small Michigan city
I'm thinking its a pool, or an occasional player. Just cause of the size of the JP. But I'm hoping its a single long time player or family pool.

Do some number combinations have better odds?
I hear what your saying, and you make all valid points. In all fairness, we can use 100 combination examples which is something most all of us could do. (if we choose to) I'm choosing my 100 lines from the pool of lines that wins the JP 20 times more often, even if it is a 20 times bigger pool. I know I know, that makes the odds exactly the same ....... But does it??..... Just because you learned something in a mathematics classroom and all your classmates agree, does not always make it absol

Are YOU in a Lottery Pool?
you'll laugh at this. I run a couple of pools.and am in a third. the two i run, i paid half half into a bonus ticket issue. If you buy 36 lines worth $20 , you get another 36 lines, all quick picks. I didnt want to pay 2 lots of $20, so i took $10 from ea pool. 1 pool has 2 people, me and a mate, the other has 5people, me and 4 family members. the prizes will be split half / half between the 2 pools. cant see any problems from this.

Two workers in lottery pool sue over $118 million ticket
What are you suggesting here? 15 people in a pool each buy the same 10 numbers? If that's the case, that is completely non sensical. On my first read, I thought you were suggesting that the group of 15 buy 150 different combos and each hold 10 of the tickets purchased. In that instance, I promise you the one holding the winning ticket would collect claiming these were his or her individual numbers. I am sure many like you thought they had their fool proof way of effectively runni

Two workers in lottery pool sue over $118 million ticket
In the past, lottery prizes for pool members have been split in proportion to the amount of money contributed by each pool member. So, a player that contributes $1.00 would get half the amount that a player that contribuited $2.00 gets. This traditional precedent is most likely to be played out again in this matter The contributions of money to purchase the winning ticket were not equal, and therfore the sharing of prizes should not be equal. What is accepted shared equal among all, is an

Two workers in lottery pool sue over $118 million ticket
This is what the judge should do. Take 9 and divide it by the total # of tickets purchased. Take that percentage and multiply it by the total jackpot. Take that number and divide it by the total number of people in the pool including the two people originally left out. Subtract the amount given to the two people left out from the total jackpot. Divide that amount equally by the remaning pool participants. Example. Assume the 11 each added $1.00. Take 9 and
