I am more inclined to suspect the instant lotteries of being manipulated as opposed to the lottery drawings. Still, even with the regular lottery drawings, you know there is a statistical mathemetician somewhere who is going to figure out some formulaic strategy to get the machine to perform in a certain way. Go back up and look at the Even and Odd patterns for 2^3 and you will see that there are 8 of them. I understand there are 8 even/odd patterns and 8 high/low too. But each pattern has 125 different straight combinations but that is not betting 8 numbers for a buck. I've seen clerks try to insert slips 5 or 6 times and then watch another clerk clear the machine and the tickets are printed the first time. If the problem is that the right button needed to be pushed it doesn't matter who inserts the slip.
