Lottery winners share secrets of their success
Quote: Originally posted by dvdiva on April 9, 2006 Other than the entertainment value I don't see a point in reading about most winners. Maybe the rare winner that has more money with good investments but most winners have little clue what to do with the winnings. People who are irresponsible with money now are just going to continue after a win. Responsibility isn't something that comes from a ticket. Perhaps it would be instructive to compare people made sudden millions winning the lotte

Florida 60% payouts
Quote: Originally posted by CASH Only on April 3, 2006 Quote: Originally posted by justxploring on April 2, 2006 Cash, am I misunderstanding you? I once posted in response to this question that I check out the payouts every time someone claims a jackpot for MegaMoney and Lotto and they are usually 70-75% (for MegaMoney) and 55-65% (for Lotto) depending on the amount of tickets purchased. I've seen payouts for the Lotto as high as 67%, but never less than 50%..usually more. As John wrote above,

N.C. lottery staff win hefty bonuses
The new lottery produced dozens of big-money winners Thursday, none of whom played the games. With the first ticket sold at 6 a.m., lottery employees qualified for special bonuses. The rewards are for starting the games before April 5, beating a deadline set last year by the state lottery commission. In all, 162 employees, from the director to office assistants, will be paid $624,100 in bonuses. The money comes from ticket sales, pegged at $2 million. Lottery director Tom Shaheen

Lottery winners share money advice
One winner says his child support payments doubled, eating into his take. Another says she lost a friend after loaning $800. A third got a big tax bill she wasn't expecting. Common denominator here: not one of them solicited/received professional advice. The Winners TY COBB Lives in: Carolina Beach. Age: 47. Won: $100,000, plus money for taxes. Game: Carolina 5. Advice: It was fun when I did it, but I wish I never let them put my picture on the Internet. I have no sympathy for

How to win more lotto for less money.
BobP: No need to wait too long for the big un . Gotta be in it to win it. Have you read the wheeling vs randomly under the lotto logix articles http:\\www.lotto-logix.com, the issue which you correctly point relates to my original concern that random selection of any kind leaves many holes in the coverage space, but overtime balances out when compared to a full wheel. We have been using many EXCEL wheels for sometime and nothing beats the 100% wheel. Thank you for the information regard

What would the experts do with a lottery jackpot?
Another very astute observation GameGrl. But you are right again, being I came from practically nothing, and grew up with the bare minimum, I learned quickly to value what I already did have in life and to never take anything for granted like most do. Everything I have now I earned through my own hard work, intelligence, and wisdom derived from years of hardship and simply just trying to get by. That is why you will never hear me complaining about winning a lucky for life jackpot Everyone ta
