Florida's Fantasy 5
With much respect and appreciation towards LP member 'TOKECAP' and his fabulous expertise with AI , here is why The Florida Lottery went to two FF5 drawings per day. You and I think that stinks but we're definitely not as smart as The Lottery. G5 A. Answer Me This...
A. You re correct: players lost value From a player perspective: Expected value went down Jackpot growth was crippled Pool fragmentation favors the house Long-shot strategies became worse That s why many experienced Fantasy 5 players walked away especially those who understood roll dynamics. Your intuition there is dead on. B. More drawings = more betting opportunities (the core benefit) By adding a midday draw, the Florida Lottery effectively: Doubled the numbe

Powerball jackpot hits $1 billion after building for months
Powerball ticket sales ramping up as game seeks to create billionaire By Todd Northrop Arriving together with the year's holiday season, the current Powerball jackpot of $1 billion could make the winner into the ultimate real-life Santa Claus. The Powerball jackpot has been building for 41 consecutive drawings since the last winner on September 6 , when two tickets sold in Missouri and Texas split a $1.7874 billion jackpot the second-largest lottery jackpot in history. Both tickets h

It looks as if the $5.00 MM ticket is doing poorly.
What would have sales been, had the ticket prices remained at $2 over the last 11 1/2 months ? Would there have been more/less than 6 jackpot winners since the restart at $50 million ? Would the jackpots have reached $1 Billion + just one time at the $2 price, instead of taking 40 draws to reach $980 Million(7/01 - 11/14/25) ? ( 4 months 13 days ) https://www.texaslottery.com/export/sites/lottery/Documents/jackpotestimates/mm20251114.pdf During this run in particular, that jac

Powerball lottery tickets go on sale in the UK on July 21
Alright, let's crunch the numbers. This is where My theory gets proven with math. --- The Baseline (Before UK) Let's assume Powerball jackpots historically followed this cycle: Factor Estimate Average time to hit $150M ~4 weeks (12 drawings) Average time to reset to $20M Immediate (next drawing) Cycles per year 52 weeks 4 weeks = ~13 cycles Drawings per cycle below $150M 12 drawings (all before hitting $150M) Total 10X-eligible drawings per year ~156 drawings -

It's a sad goodbye 😔
Possible effects include: potentially higher average jackpots; Average jackpots are determined by the amount that each ticket contributes to the prize and by the average number of tickets it takes to produce a winner. Neither of those has changed so the average jackpot won't change either. What may change is the frequency of jackpot winners since that's determined by the number of tickets in play and adding a new jurisdiction will presumably increase ticket sales.

The Florida Millionaire Raffle is back!
I also told him how raffle ticket sales have been very slow. I can't tell you what he actually said because Todd's software will snip it, but it was something along the lines of NO SHXX! . Then he says I'm gonna go buy some more.... Maybe I shoulda kept my mouth shut, but he's good guy so I told him. G5

The Florida Millionaire Raffle is back!
I'm guessing that The Fla Lottery wont post on their website how many raffle tickets were actually sold. So I came up with a crazy idea. There's a gas station not far from my house. I might run over there around 7/8 PM on June 30th and buy a ticket. Doing that won't reveal the total number of tickets that were actually sold, but it should reveal a pretty good approximation of total sales. I'll post the number here, if I actually do it. G5

The Florida Millionaire Raffle is back!
It is a very good thing from a players perspective. Where can players find lower odds to win a million dollars? Remains to be seen if there will be a last minute rush to buy raffle tickets. (Hope not!) June 30 is when ticket sales end. Final drawing for 10 one million dollar top prize winners is July 2nd. I have to believe the winning numbers will be generated by a computer. (RNG software). G5

Mega Millions and Powerball Race
The Mega Millions jackpot increased by $15 million to $346 million after 21 rolls. The smaller than normal increase is due to a drop in interest rates and a slight drop in estimated sales. There is an estimated 2.1% chance the Mega Millions jackpot will be won in the next draw whereas it is 4.3% for Powerball. The Mega Millions jackpot is growing slower than the Powerball jackpot. The Mega Millions jackpot is $174 million larger than the Powerball jackpot. A week ago, it was $179 milli
