Most lottery winners crave privacy
Nice to see something positive about lottery winners. With all the stories about winners having problems, it's good to see something about winners who are actually having happy lives. We can all learn from stories like these. I have a pool running at work for Powerball and Louisiana Lotto, plus I buy Powerball for myself when it breaks $100 million.
If I or my pool wins, I plan to live a quiet life with my winnings. Perhaps move to a cheaper place and lay low once the excitement has die

Tonight's winning numbers will involve...
Shane3,
If all the winning numbers are in your number pool, your odds of winning the jackpot is 1:1848.
Players in the Maddog challenges have been trying to do the same thing with a pool of 15 numbers and 5 bonus numbers for both PowerBall and MegaMillions and their best coverage so far is 4+1 and nobody has put them all together on one ticket.
Good luck to you.

Pick 4 lottery player wins $500,000
HAPPY WEDNESDAY....4/19/2006
YOU ARE SAVVY...I wish I could analyze and compute mumerically as you do. Then maybe I would play MM Powerball among other gmes more often. I love to watch others play, and get inspiration from them, but some of you are very serious players....
In my last job, I was a member of an office pool which was fun, because the SAVVY ONES like yourself handled everything, even the football pool. I loved it. All I had to do was shell out $5.00, and presto. done dea

13 State Employees to Share $224 Million Powerball Lottery Jackpot
Last year lots of the jackpots that were hit were very small. You remember that phenomena? People were scratching their heads wondering if Powerball had finally hit the wall, because it seemed to get hit so often.
As I described above, when the jackpots get really big, the number of pool players grows exponentionally. And the jackpots have been getting huge as of late. In fact, I ran a news story stating how this was the first back-to-back $200+ million jackpot.
People play Powerball t

13 State Employees to Share $224 Million Powerball Lottery Jackpot
Sincere Congratulations ...to the employees who won
Pools are nice and we've witnessed several pools pay off, but overall, I'd rather buy my tickets alone. Eleven contributing a total of $55 plus two adding another $5; the other recent pool win played $40 at the record jackpot level.
So at that unique moment when the jackpot reaches a specific level, such as a record level, any one of us can adequately 'compete' individually with the typical pool.
As mentioned previously, and lookin

a sorta stupid question for the math type
meg4m1|10ns,
I still don't understand what information your 5X56 chart with 68211 in every position is trying to show. What law of physic did you use to define the perfect world you described? I would think in any world perfect or not, if five balls were randomly drawn out a pool of 56, the results would be just as unpredictable each time. In the last 56 MegaMillions drawings 74% of the numbers were from a pool of 33 which might suggest a bias that can be exploited.

Powerball lottery jackpot raised to $117 million
Keep on rolling over til May 30th!! when NC Powerball players get their go at it!!!!!!!!!!! I will have the office Powerball pool up and running by then with a signed notorized letter stating the rules of the office pool. At the end of the letter, the last sentence will be If you don't participate then you are not entitled to share in any of the money won. Rules of the Game. I would appreciate some feedback as to what my legal letter should say.
thanks to all for future feedback.

Buying Mega Millions lottery tickets a strictly defensive act
Well, if 10m and 300m makes no difference to you in term of retirement, than play in a pool would be a good idea.
Buy $30 ticket by youself, you might win 300m and tickets cost you $1 each.
Spend $1 in a 30 people pool, you get the same odd to win 10m, but now tickets cost you 3c each.

Hello
LottoGroups,
Pool managers are usually too lazy to come up with any strategy for winning a lottery other than buying lots of tickets using other people money and even then they expect to be paid. If you're dealing with one over the internet or phone , it's probably a scam which doesn't involve buying any lottery tickets at all.
Sharing lottery strategies and asking people to send money for a lottery scheme are not the same and you're not so dumb that you don't know the different. If you

Powerball (moneyball) or Powerplay
I would (and did) power up my one ticket. Still keeps my 1 ticket per $100,000,000 policy, only now I have the chance to improve the lower end of the prize pool (where I swim).
Or use the dollar to improve your chances to own the whole pool. Money is money. I personally want to go after the big win. Should I win the 2nd tier, without the PP, I'd wait in line for the check to arrive! Probably saying, while waiting, I should have spent the dollar on the PP! Also saying, I wish the extra do
