CALIFORNIA JOINS MEGA MILLIONS
This is getting weird. There is reality and there is make-believe. In the case of Texas, they joined Mega Millions, and suddenly jackpots started increasing their rollover size by 50% or so, and the jackpots started going over $100 million with greater frequency than ever.Dvdiva, I have no idea where you're coming up with this stuff. You're an awesome member here, and I always love your input, but this one has me shaking my head. Everyone should be saying a big thank you to Texas (and now Ca

In the case of the NY prize pool, I believe that percentage was allocated through legislation, and not just a number that the lottery came up wit

Trending
Bertil,I'm certainly no expert on trending or filters, but I've read a little about this concept. Most applications that I've seen separate a pool of numbers into groups. Those groups are then cross-referenced with temporal draw ranges. I suppose the groups and ranges can be arbitrarily set by the person employing such a method, or they might be built into the software which incorporates them. For that matter, every number in a pool could be analyzed individually rather than as a part of a group

South Lotto Test
For what it's worth:A wheel to guarantee a minimum of one 3# prize in a 6/49 game requires at least 163 lines for a split wheel consisting of a 22,6,3,3,77 and a 27,6,3,4,86 wheel placed side by side. A straight up build without splitting the fields would take about 300 lines. Code for wheels, first number is the Pool size, second is Ticket or Play size, third is Prize or Match size, forth is Hits winning numbers in our Pool to guarantee Prize, fifth is how many lines it takes to do it. Are There Any Real Lottery Secrets?
Quote: Originally posted by dragon on August 06, 2004In a 6/49 game, if all 49 numbers were to be used up by drawings evenly, you would run out of numbers after only eight games. This would mean that all winning numbers in the next game were hits within the last eight games. If you suggest therefore picking your numbers out of the winning games of the most recent drawings, you are simply suggesting the obvious. It is like suggesting always picking your numbers out of the 49 provided, which is wh

Mega Millions Office Pool Advice
I have been running a pool of 29 people for over two years for the Mega Millions. I collect $20 every 10 draws. That works out to two dollars per person for ten draws. When I purchase the tickets I copy them and spend out a digital copy via email to everyone before the the first draw. I have a cap of 29. I ruled that it will not exceed 30. Of course drop out anytime but I do not any one back in. The reason is because it becomes complicated. Email me and I'll explain. Since it is my pool I se

Mega Millions Office Pool Advice
I think that taking uneven contributions is just asking for trouble. Money can sometimes bring out the wrost in people, and with so much money at stake people can do some unbelievable things. So even if you have something in writing, and even if everything is agreed to in advance, and even if you have an air tight case, you may still have to go to court to prove it. And in court, only the attorneys will win. I can see a situation where you have 10 people in the pool, and because of uneven contri
