will you play the new $5 mega millions?
If the price for Mega Millions and Powerball tickets increase to $5 per ticket, especially if the odds aren't significantly better, I will quit playing those games altogether.

One lottery ticket sold in Texas wins $800 million Mega Millions jackpot
If the price for Mega Millions and Powerball tickets increase to $5 per ticket, especially if they make the odds harder, I will quit playing those games altogether.

will you play the new $5 mega millions?
I don't play scratchers, so this price increase is a deal breaker for me. No more Mega play for me.

Maddog's MEGA MILLIONS Challenge  8/2
Yes agree. Just can't wait until ticket prices increase to $5 along with higher ball matrix.

Are you playing Mega Millions with the $5.00 per play?
While the revenue is being talked about and consideration is being given to what percent is being generated at a certain dollar value, people are also not including the starting point of $50 Million which, IMHO, is another bells and whistles gimmick in this new improved MM version from MUSL. Starting at $50M already puts you up 2+ draws on any previous jackpot, whether its the MM or the PB in the last decade plus. https://www.texaslottery.com/export/sites/lottery/Games/Mega_Millions/Estimat

No winner again: Powerball jackpot hits $1.6 billion in longest-ever rollover run
Estimate was way off. They missed by even more in than MM missed back in October 2018 when they advertised a $1.6 billion jackpot and only managed 1.537. Depending on the metric you choose PB missed by almost 2 1/2 times as much as MM did. MM advertised an annuity increase of $600 million and missed by 10.5%. Powerball advertised a nominal annuity increase of $250 million and missed by 26%. Could be an indicator of lotto fatigue. Jackpot growth has definitely slowed down in general
